Just buy a grom if you’re scared. I respect all danger forsure. I’ve ridden dirt bikes and fast banshees, as long as you feel comfortable anyways I ride a r6 and driven my friends gsxr1000 just heavier a heavier faster bike as long as you can control yourself

Why is this bike designed not to carry a passenger?

darandomizer2 In reply to Dr. John Campbell

It has a passenger seat. There's just an aftermarket rear cowl on it in the vid. It comes from the factory with the second seat.

So right now I have to chose between the Ninja 300 or the Yamaha r3. Does anyone know pros/cons about both bikes?

    • darandomizer2
darandomizer2 In reply to Jason Abc

Basically the same bike. The R3 is a tiny bit faster off the line/top speed (although if you're getting either one, speed probably isn't your top priority anyway). R3 is considerably more expensive where I live. A decent Ninja 300 can be had for 2000 -2500, while any decent R3 is gonna be 3000-3500. I'd say go for the Ninja because of it being a bit cheaper and considering that you will probably drop it eventually and likely not keep it forever.

A skill rider on a 300 will beat some 600 riders on the twisty, there is a r3 guy basically beat a r6 rider, even though r6 guy knee dragging already, the only thing got him somewhat slower was because they ride on the okublic roads, he brakes early, maybe not know the roads. Also it takes more guts pushing a pretty r6 than a r3.

Ren Robin I’m in south Texas. I started riding it a bit just to keep the fluids moving. But yeah. Corpus Christi TX. It has a yoshi slip on too, sounds great! Great bike for beginners or city commuters.

I lovvve my Ninja 300, I learned to ride on it & sure it's a great 'starter bike', but I could keep it forever! Crazy good gas mileage, plenty fast enough for anywhere, has ABS. Also at 360 lbs., it is easy to handle and corners awesomely. I might get something bigger someday, but I'm keeping it too.

Srkcycles can I use your bike this week? You know being a devout christian and all that should be cool right? Considering it says in the bible several times to sale all your things and to share your possessions. But I'm sure one of you devout christians will have an excuse why you don't follow any of those 60+ passages.

Horse power increases with revs, you mean torque. Low-mid range torque is what I prefer.

Just bought the 2017 Plasma candy blue 300. Striking looks. Added a K&N airfilter and Akropovic performance graphite exhaust for a touch of tone and a bit more throttle response> plenty of power and zip. Lots of fun. Looks like a 600. Well balanced. Many compliments on bike. Love it.. Get one. No more blue Ninjas. Was told possibly a collectors item. @ 60 mpg & 42hp a perfect commuter weekend race fun.

is it normal to just shift all the way down from 6th or 5th at a stop light? i usually match my speed and downshift as im coming to a stop. if anyone can let me know id appreciate it

    • Tiger Strike
Tiger Strike In reply to Mark Choi

You can but is not ideal, sometimes gears won't sync up and you'll have to rock bike around to get back down to 1st. Continue to downshift and Rev match sequentially. Only time I would totally recommend not bothering is in an emergency stop situation.
