For the airbag/ hazard button, you can disconnect it, doesn't effect anything and gets the vent out of your way. (08 Acura TL Base)

Sam, you just need to tap into the amp wire and the subwoofer, if you don't want to use wire taps it would make sense to buy our harness or make your own.

    • Mobile Max Car Audio
Mobile Max Car Audio In reply to Jason Crawford

Hey I wouldn't recommend bypassing the factory amp unless you are going to use another amp to replace it because you would lose the center channel and subwoofer. If you still want to you can't do it behind the radio, you have to do it at the amp. It is shown here in this video https://youtu.be/1pOiE1Rvc_Q you would have to disconnect the connectors going to the amp and then just splice the correct ones together.

i got an 2004 acura tl i install an Pioneer stereo and its turns on and everything but theres no sound coming out if the speakers and stereo working what can be do you know why i dont get any sound i would really appreciate your help thanx in advance

    • Mobile Max Car Audio
Mobile Max Car Audio In reply to Israel Aguilar

Hey, so the TL has a premium sound system that sends the signal from the radio to the amplifier. If you followed a guide of crutchfield or one similar it's very easy to overlook the part of tapping into the cars factory amp turn on. There is a wire in the grey plug that you have to hook up the pioneers remote turn on to. Did you hook that wire up? Also if you hooked up your speakers to the wires of the pioneer harness and not the RCA's you will get distorted sounds at higher volumes because the sound signal is basically being amplified twice.

Do you think if you installed a nav tool to the factory navigation screen it can be connected to the aftermarket head unit to use it to display what is on the double din aftermarket head like a duplicate screen of the aftermarket stereo? Say like if your using android auto, to see the navigation being used like waze or google maps, on the factory navigation screen? Just so you dont have to look so low where the aftermarket head unit is?

    • Mobile Max Car Audio
Mobile Max Car Audio In reply to juicehead777

yes this would work but it would be so convoluted and annoying to setup. What I recommend is getting your hands on a joying unit or an alpine 209, both these units have external display that connect via a cable and you could put them in the location of the factory display and replace it. I am working on a 3D printed mount so that it fits into the factory screen location with ease. Here is the link for the joying which is the top of the line android radio. https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-latest-android-8-0-oreo-4gb-32gb-8-inch-single-din-car-sound-system-upgrade.html you can pick on up on ebay, scroll down the page on the link to see the radio. Here is link to the alpine unit that has the external screen its really there restyle line that has the things you would need to modify to fit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Alpine-i209-WRA-9-Restyle-System-with-Apple-CarPlay-for-Jeep-Wrangler-2011-up/292776185405?hash=item442ad20e3d:g:oMcAAOSwm1dbx6UU:rk:3:pf:0&LH_ItemCondition=4 look at the images on this listing.

Hello, you have to make sure pin 13 and 26 on second connector, the grey connector going go the radio are wired together with a 68 ohm inline resistor. If you don't want through go through the hassle we sell the harness that is just plug and play.

Hey, we messed with this concept. It's tough because there isn't much space behind the actual touchscreen. Here is the concept we came up with. https://youtu.be/E3csAqpOHHU. We are working on a solution with different options. What kind of radio were you thinking of putting there? We are working on something like this that comes in a kit that will be easy to install. I have 2007 acura Tl base model. Want to install an after market mp5 player to replace the factory radio. Took it to an installation place and they said that I could not put an after market player in the vehicle because the nav and the radio is one whole pieces and will not work. Is that true and should I get a second opinion on this?

    • Mobile Max Car Audio
Mobile Max Car Audio In reply to Daniel Jenkins

Hey Daniel, That is not true, I would get a second opinion. This radio is tricky and does appear to be one piece to the normal installer. It is actually two pieces, a touchscreen and then the radio. The touchscreen can be used to control the radio but its main purpose of the touchscreen is to send the commands to the navigation unit via your touch input. Also just to confirm your vehicle has navigation? If you want to install an aftermarket radio into the factory position and retain the functions of the navigation except for the voice guidance you will need a special harness like demonstrated in this video.

The microphones for the noise cancellation are highlighted in the diagram shown in the video. There is no microphone in the trunk, this was said by mistake. Also the speaker sizes for the doors and rear deck are 5 3/4 from the factory but 6 3/4 speakers will fit.
