I think Subaru's are very safe cars, I now have my 4th Subaru, it is a 2011 Legacy, has over 100,000 miles, Only problem is drivers window not working. Hope to be able to afford an Impreza (used one) someday.

My 2017 performed just like this when I got into a head on with a pickup, nothing pushed into the cabin, I walked away injury free

@Kiet Lu That's equal to a 30mph impact, 30mph vs 30mph = 30 mph this is how physics works.. it would be like crashing into a somewhat soft wall at 30mph, since a pickup is softer than a armoured metal wall like they use for crash test.

@MaverikBass88 Then that equals to 60mph impact. Glad to hear you and hopefully the other party are OK.

I find this test so unconventional. No woman would ever sit that close to the dashboard in the passenger seat. In the owners manual it says sit as far away from the airbag as possible. So why is this dummy so close? I want to see how she would react to the airbag with the seat all the way back like it should be. Would she even touch or even get the benefits of the airbag?
