Carrying the title of the best-selling vehicle in a company's lineup comes with some pretty big expectations. For #Toyota, that vehicle used to be the Camry for many years... Over the last 5 years, Toyota saw sales of the fourth-generation #RAV4 double to the point of moving over 400,000 units every year. For 2019, the most important vehicle in the lineup gets a revolutionary change with all-new styling inside and out, more technology, more power, more capability, and improved fuel economy especially on the #Rav4Hybrid. It looks like Toyota may have just set the small SUV benchmark even higher for 2019.

Some say to never buy the new version of a car because of potential design flaws. Although this may be the case for most car manufacturers, this is NOT the case for Toyota. Quite the contrary. Toyota usually put it's "best foot forward" with the new offering then scales back with subsequent models. For example, I have a 2012 PriusV with 2 low beam projectors/LED lamps per head light. The newer PriusV's have only one single projector per head light.

Toyota needs a beefy mid size suv. They totally miss that market, this one is for all the soccer moms.

Wow is that non hybrid engine NOISY! By the way this was the knock on this vehicle by Motor Trend. If you notice on the non hybrid model they removed the hood sound deadening material. Bad move. I would not buy this because of the noise. I own a new 18 RAV4 XLE Hybrid and it is a lot quieter. I really like it. Again never would buy a non hybrid RAV4. Very noisy beast.

The angular body panels and wheel wells are taken straight from the Volvo XC40. A good look, imo.

Let’s make the best looking crossover on the market and then put an old wimpy gutless 4 cylinder in it. How disappointing. Needs a V6 without question.

Knuckles300 right here, waiting for a decent engine - their 3.5l V6 or even a twin turbo 4... thought with the refresh they’d provide that option. The Camry XSE offers the 3.5l V6. Don’t understand why Toyota wouldn’t offer that as an option here... another up selling / profit opportunity for them, and a much mire interesting and exciting option for drivers wanting a better more sporty driving experience.

Toyota won't go Turbo because the pressure shortens the lifespan of the engine and its seals. And People buy Toyotas for comfort, efficiency, and reliability. not speed.

Terry Shaw nah you’re not getting old, just look at the new Camrys. I never thought I’d want one so badly until I saw the 2018 Camry XSE. Toyota is definitely doing a good job with styling
