The Lancia Thema 8:32 was so named because it had a 3.0litre Ferrari V8 in its nose. It was also the car Enzo Ferrari chose to be chauffeured around in. After living with it for a few weeks, I can see why..

      I remember in the 1980's the Lancia Thema (and not necessarily the 8:32) was the car of choice of the Italian upper class. Comfortable, classy if not beautiful, and most important not conspicuous.

      I discovered only after making this video Enzo Ferrari's favourite car to be driven in (up until he died) was an 8:32. Wish I could have added this wonderful factoid to the video..

      Something so right about this car, when I was a lot younger; this car was viewed as being a real “Q” car.....Italian cool again

      Your channel is like a rare Italian car, it stirs up emotions like envy, lust, exhilaration (acceleration?), and of course love. Thank you very much.

      Just one word of warning ... it is front wheel drive. Lancia/Fiat didn’t go all the way, unlike MG/Rover with the 75/ZT 260, which was converted to V8 AND rear-wheel drive.

      11:57 the wood and leather interior was an expensive option only,so it wasn't there to justify the cars price;
      also,the cross-plane crank engine was based on the Ferrari 308 QV engine but was built for Lancia by Ducati.

      If I could afford a Ferrari THIS is what I would get. No one would know it's a Ferrari. How funny to tell someone I drive a Ferrari, they ask to see it, and show them this Lancia. Hilarious. It's like when I put my Rolex Daytona on a nylon nato strap, no one looks twice, no one notices or comments, ever.

      It would be very interesting to compare this to an Alfa Romeo 164Q with the 24v 3.0L.

      I love Harrys channel also here in the U.S. I get to see cars never sold here being tested. I get tired of the U.S. kids putting hideous exhausts on AMG cars,and driving around just to rev them in populated areas thinking its cool,when its just childish n annoying! Most have NO taste cuz they all own a Huracan or a 570S/720S.

      Suits you sir!

      Lovely car and lovely review as usual Harry.

      It would be great to see some future reviews on the other cars you gathered for the event, in particular the Lotus Carlton, but maybe a Super/Sports Saloon series (E39 M5, 190e 2.5 16v or even the Evolution, E55 AMG etc)?

      Im confused.......If its called the 8.32 why is it a 308 engine and not a 3.2L 328 engine?
      I do love this car,unfortunately we didnt get Lancia here.

      Really enjoyed that video. I was a young man in my early 20s when they were current. It was almost regarded as a bit of a mythical/legendary car even then.
