ONE YEAR UPDATE ON THE RANGE - automobilrevue.net/v/N21teENhQ1lOam8
Heres a 1 year review of the range! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mmxCaCYNjo
Will I need this for a 2018 2500hd?
Will this ruin my engine or any electronics. Even by some freak chance. I have a 2016
For the man with the incredibly small penis
You might want to check your tire pressure because your showing 33/34psi on warm tires and 36psi cold is what my 2015 calls out for
Dumb why wouldn’t you want to have good mileage
Get a diablo tuner does the same thing with more options
You also saved destroying your engine.
Just bought this getting It this week along with a new cold air intake a couple months after buying my borla atak system, trucks finally coming together
That thing has left me stranded multiple times go ahead and buy a hand held tuner
Great little device! I plugged one into my 2008 After the AFM washed out the number 5 cylinder of the original 5.3 only had 139,000 miles on it, installed a new crate 5.3 and no sooner than I got my truck back plugged the range device in . No more 4 cylinder mode! That AFM is the dumbest thing GM could’ve ever done ! Besides the new ones cutting completely off, what a joke! Goverment just won’t leave things alone. I have a 2005 Silverado with 5.3 with no AFM on it and it has just shy of 400,000 miles on it and still going all original.
This is the best 150.00 fix for a problem that GM caused more problems than a solution to fuel mileage! Good video! keep your V8 a true V8!!
The best I’ve gotten in this truck was 28.7
Helppppp anybody know if this works on 08 Pontiac GT??????
First thing I did with my 2o14 Silverado was have it reprogrammed with afm disabled.
70k mikes and it runs great. That cylinder deactivation by gm is the dumbest thing ever. I think I lost 1 mpg. It was so clunky and made the truck run like shit. It will void you’re warranty doesn’t make sure you have a dealer do it so you can have them default it if something happens. They know it sucks as well.Did this solve the 'Chevy Shakes'?
put in a high-flow k and n air filter system and a better exhaust system way better gas mileage in that stupid V4 mode
Or you could use M5
So GM decides to enable this 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder bullshit with absolutely no Pros just Cons because #globalwarming bullshit. Fuck these retards
save yourself from 5 minutes of non-information, skip to 5:00.
This is all caused by the idiots running the EPA who caused pickup trucks requiring mpg and suv fad..
just put the gear on manual and select the highst gear it will be V8 all the time
@lmfscrew i think its works on the 6th gear too but im not sure
And not have 6th gear
Sounds like a good engine to swap into a micro car...
Used the Diablo Predator 2 to disable the AFM system on my 2018 5.3L Silverado. Did the 87 tune as well with 3" cat back and getting 26mpg on the highway at around 70mph. Put around 3000 miles with the AFM turned off. Best mpg I did with the AFM on is 24mpg/87tune/3" cat back.
You feel it because it downshifts. The 2007-14s have a terrible AFM system, but for the 2015 redesign, they designed it where it switched between the two sets of 4. If im not thinking about it, i dont notice and have never had a problem.
I put one in my 2018 Denali 6.2L and it's awesome. I think the 4-cylinder mode is a joke. I get 22-23 mpg going to my camp and its 140 miles one way. Cruise set at 75
Wow! For $200.00 they better give me a programmer to reprogram the computer rather then a dongle that just plugs into the diagnostic port.
@lmfscrew No. programmers like that dongle are reversible. you just put back the factory tune that alot of programmers will save everytime you take it to the dealer, then after the dealer you put your modified tune back in simple as that. :-)
That would void your warranty. This doesn't.
Cool...yeh, that DoD (4 cylinder mode deal) really upsetted me for years on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 4x4 (5.3L). Finally bought a canned tuner (Diablo i3 inTune) performance tuner module. I was able to disable that DoD, disable the speed limiter, increase throttle response 10%, recalibrate for taller tires, and do their canned "Flex 91 octane" tune. Everything I did was readily apparent (the module "does what it says"). Amazing how the truck runs now. Smoother, better throttle response, better acceleration, and it holds the shifts longer (like a truck should). I was also able to "tweak" the 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 shifts for different modes. I don't work for the company, but the best $380 I ever spent.
Bought one for my 17 High Country 6.2L/8 speed works as it says. As far vibration switching between V4/V8 was seamless before it was disabled. MPG don't notice any difference so that says it was a poor attempt from GM to improve fuel mileage. Only thing before was transmission clunking not sure was this caused by AFM or not. Any viewers have an answer to this I'd like to hear???
@ReyAndDanny InAlgebra It was before and still is but it's not as bad. They say it learns as you drive time will tell or I'll take it back to dealer and do a relearn under warranty. It would do it at low speed 1st to second bang clunk. Dealer says it's normal when you pay 60 grand I expect better.
Anthony Macneil your transmission was clunking before? Or it is now that you have used this device?
Or it was before and still is???i own a 2017 gmc sierra z71 on 35s with a 7 inch lift do you recommend buying and do you think I’d notice a difference in mpg
So why is it still being used? If it doenst improve anything and everyone reports better everything without it. Id bet its there for no better reason than some idiot tree hugger ..
