The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is not only the most hardcore Jaguar saloon ever - it’s arguably the most extreme four-door car ever built.

Autocar’s Dan Prosser puts the 592bhp Project 8 through its paces on Portimao circuit to find out if there’s more to the car than big power and big wings.

Cool Jag, but I feel the Giulia QV is a much better all-round 4-seater, not to mention much better value.

Forgot to spell out two more words that make you proud. 'British Engineering'. This car is gifted with all the best, the British have offered so far. It appears like a galloping sensation. Gorgeously 'Jaguarish'

Is this supposed to be a joke? A track converted sedan, with a roll cage, no back seats, race tires, rock hard racing suspension, a tuned engine, and everything else that they could throw at it, it's NO LONGER a Jaguar sedan.
Talk about feeling beaten. I read all the comments from Jag fans calling out BMW, or M3 and M5 fans, lol. Did you guys really need a $150K track car to finally feel good and call out BMW??? I never thought it was that bad for you guys. But hey, I'm sure Jaguar will soon make their sports car, the F-type, drivable, even with RWD only :)

Just saw this review and this cannot claim to be the fastest saloon around the N...Ring as it has no rear seats saloon cars by definition will have a rear seats like the Mercedes AmG and the M5. If delete road features from these cars they will be quicker than the Jaguar.

Very dope car, but I can't see why I should buy this car instead of a 2 door supercar, becouse it isn't comfortable to use on daily, so this car don't make sense.

I like cars like these. Not the best looking , but goddamn beautiful when it comes to the effort placed in by the manufacturers.

We need more cars like this without the pointless rear seats.

He kept saying practical with a roll cage behind him. Smh. It's a 4 door sedan without rear seats. What's practical about that? Also, it's not a fair comparison. The M4 GTS is the equivalent. Not the M3 CS.

Brilliant! Another track only car. Just what the world needed. A British car that isn't designed for British roads. But it's the quickest 4 door saloon around the Nuremberg ring. Wonderful. I live in the UK though.

I have a 2010 XF Supercharged, and have owned BMW and Mercedes in the past. I feel the Jags have more character and exclusivity. I get more of a mass produced feel from the German cars. Even the AMG and M cars. I wouldn't turn one down though.
