Soooo just take out the TT V6 and put in the new GT500 “700++”hp in there, and you’ll have heaven!

I'd buy a Gen 2 but I'm afraid once Ford announces a V8 option in a future build, the V6 models will be more valuable as scrap than to sell, as no one will want to buy it.

Why ford even put the 3.5 eco boost in this truck is crazy. People who buy these trucks don’t care about MPG. The 5.0 with a nice turbo set up and a good tune would leave the 3.5 in the dust and sound a hell of a lot better.

Ah a Raptor for soccer moms. Who the hell is going to off-road this shit? Ford knows that 90% of the people who buy this truck will never take it off-road so why bother making it a REal off-road truck?

What the hell is up with Ford and their stupid V6 fetish all of a sudden? The new Ford GT? V6. And now this. Can’t stand it. I’ve said it once, when it comes to American muscle, I don’t give a damn how “advanced,” or how “better” a V6 is, a V8 is a MUST. Get your heads out of your asses, Ford.

Old one wins because power train. Don't need 10 gears, twin turbos are very unreliable and thus the old one will be lasting someone much longer. V8 vs V6 simple answer.

I just picked up a 2011 Raptor SVT supercab last week. It has 50k miles, never been off road, always garages, and I Love the 6.2L V8. The previous and only other owner put in a flowmaster 40 and it growls beautifully. Looks brand new, feels brand new and I only spent 26k. New Raptors are ridiculously expensive...82k.

They should have had side pipes to help avoid 9:08 like the older lightning.

      Please make lightning replacement. Ford...Please.

As a new time buyer I really want the newer Raptor. I totally get the feeling about the V8 and man that purr is seductive. I think if I had the older Raptor I probably would keep it longer as well. It's still so good that there is very little reason to change it for the newer one.
