The AWD model may help prevent the force to go through the cabin. Maybe the transfercase will help protecting

Are the front seats supposed to whip back that far? If there was a person in the back then it looks like their head will be getting crushed between their seat and the front seat or the drivers head smashing their head!

Is the back of the seat supposed to go backwards like that? It looks like it breaks in the crash but does that help prevent whiplash and back injuries? I’ve seen that in most high speed rear end crash tests.

it looks like controlled movement to me, because there is some room left for the passangers in the back seats.
Volvo had a system to prevent whiplash for years now, called WHIPS. maybe Nissan copied it/ developed their own.

No, that not supposed to happen, but very few models have reinforced seats. Thats why race seat are a single piece

Why not do the AWD model? Those need to be tested also. Maybe there's more to be discovered if an AWD equipped juke or any vehicle tested could have faults or hidden dangers after a hard rear end collision like that.

In this case, it would because it would prevent the vehicle hitting it from getting very far into the occupant compartment.

If anything it'd be stronger with the differential reinforcing it.
