I have to buy an I-phone for the system to function? Front grille is a bug collector and no bumper makes for frequent trips to the body shop. Rear seats dont fold down. Way too many gizmos to go bad after the warranty expires. I'll pass.

I never liked that gigantic grill and to me the side view looks a lot like a Camry. Meh.

I had a BMW 5 series but it’s absolutely not in the same league with the Lexus ES in everyday driving and long term ownership. The only people rate BMW better are automobile journalists who only have to live with the vehicles for couple of weeks and don’t have to make the payments and pay for the cost of maintenance and repair.

Not a fan of the front grille - if you're looking for frequent visits to the body shop from other cars backing into it cracking the plastic or picking an endless supply of bugs out of it then be my guest. The low profile tires are useless in the city and make for a bumpy ride let alone easy to achieve pothole damage. Get ready to buy lots of tires. The rear seats don't fold down? Hmmm... The tablet looking screen and dash in general are a turn off for me. The rest of the car is OK. If you want a trendy here today gone tomorrow looking car with useless features this may be for you. I know, I'm the only one who takes issue with this design and everyone else simply loves it. For $54,000 + it has to do better.

Buick LaCrosse with torque vectoring AWD is a better deal with much better handling.

@Daniel Smith the LaCrosse is rated similarly to the Lexus ES overall but when it comes to comparison tests the Buick always win over the Lexus. Even though the ES is the worst example of luxury or Lexus, it sells well considering it's front wheel drive Camry/Avalon underpinnings.

The LaCrosse offers acrive torque vectoring AWD unlike Toyota large cars that are only FWD.

its time for a ES wagon for europe because most buyers in taht size buy a wagon, especially the company car drivers. BUT more than this it needs the V6/Hybrid from the RX or the not anymore available GS450h !!! These 4cyl. sucks in such a big car !

I make the seats for the Lexus ES 350, all trim levels (Even the F sport) and just know, the quality control on those seats is incredibly deep.
