I get to take the 2002 Toyota Sequoia Limited out for a test drive video on the way to work one day. Since I've never given a full tour or anything aside from short update videos and what not, I thought it would be fun to make this video. This thing has an awesome sounding engine, 4.7L iforce V8, 240hp, 315 lb ft torque. 97k miles and has NEVER had any issues, go Toyota :) also, for anyone wondering, this is an old video I made about a month ago and forgot about haha.

Wow I just noticed the gauge cluster arrangement on my 2005 Sequoia is different. My fuel gauge is top right, water temp is lower right, oil pressure is the same spot on the upper left and my battery voltage is on the lower left. Also the redline on my 05' is 5700rpm but this 02' shows under 5500rpm. That's pretty interesting, I didn't know there was that much of a difference during the mid cycle refresh of the 1st gen Sequoia.

I have the same Sequoia except its a 2006. Also did u notice that from 2001 to 2004, the speedometer goes up to 110 mph. But from 2005 to 2007, the speedometer now goes up to 120 mph.

I wish you had spoken about its driving characteristics. What's the point of a "test drive" if you don't comment on how it drives?

Also, if you really accelerate hard does yours get the rotten egg smell? Toyota told me this was normal and that a lot of camrys do it as well.

This video helped a lot. I was wondering if all sequoias had the rattly sound when accelerating like mine does and I could hear yours at 1:35. I love my 2007. Went from a sienna to this. Although I'm more of a SUV mom the sienna was a great ride as well. Thanks again.

This 2uz-fe makes 320 ft lbs of torque, where your 2 litre most likely does not. The hp seems low, but the gearing and transmission are perfect for this the 1st generation Sequoia. And in 2004, it was updated to 280 hp with VVT-i.

v8s in trucks are designed for towing so they have low horsepower but high torque whereas the case is vice versa with your 4 cyl.

It's lazy and unstressed, whereas your 2 litre is working it's balls off to make that power.

It has some of the same interior parts my 2001 Camry has, interior door handle, and in-dash radio. And you have to love that signature Toyota V8 sound upon statup, I love that deep whoosh, from the Sequoia, 4 Runner, Tundra, and Tacoma. 0:54
