This is a very close comparison but not an exact one-to-one Full-Size American Luxury SUV Comparison since we have the extended version of the Escalade but not the longer version of the Navigator. Also the Escalade is RWD while the Navigator is 4WD. Pricing for the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum 4x2 starts at $96,795 while the 2018 Lincoln Navigator Black Label 4x4 goes for $93,705.

When you buy a large Luxury SUV like this it’s about making a statement so you need a prominent front end. Lincoln has applied their new corporate grill to the Navigator. The Escalade meanwhile has been using the same front fascia for a while and it still looks great. Both of these top-of-the-line models are riding on 22-inch rims.

The Lincoln Navigator SUV is powered by a 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that makes 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque. The Cadillac Escalade is powered by a 6.2 liter V-8 making 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft. of torque.

Speaking of GMC, it has hit paydirt with its two sub-brands. You probably heard of Denali, an expensive trim level that GMC offers on all its models, and accounts for 30% of its sales. In fact, on the Yukon, the Denali trim level accounts for 56% of sales. But have you heard of AT4? To attract younger, upscale buyers, GMC introduced the sub-brand AT4, which stands for all-terrain four-wheel drive. Even though it’s relatively new and not yet available on all models, AT4 accounts for 15% of sales. Get this, thanks to those sub-brands, GMC now has the second highest transaction prices in the market, second only to Mercedes-Benz. And that kind of begs the question: is GMC a truck brand, or is it really a luxury brand?  AutolineDaily

The Cadillac is way more stylish the Lincoln looks like a Ford Flex! Hahaha no style!
The interior set up is horrible in the Lincoln WTH is up with the awkward screen just sitting straight up in the middle of the dash. No flow nothing.
Lincoln has nice looking seats everything else looks cheap and plain. I bet you the push button shifting mechanism is unreliable as shit.
Always Cadillac.... best drivetrain ever! Reliable and beefy!

Every passenger can be connected and streaming video or music on long trips. There are so many Escalade haters it’s ridiculous or are they just a bit jealous?

Cadillac is kinda bad because it’s looks the same as the 2015 Cadillac they didn’t even change the grill only and the only slight changes and BRUH THE TV LOOK LIKE THERE FROM 1980 and the Lincoln is the best SUV and the navigator in this video is the smallest one you can get and you can get the biggest version which is as big as the ‏Cadillac and there is way more features than the Cadillac and Lincoln is just way better honestly.

I purchased this at $100,000+ and it’s absurdly luxurious. My first stop was all the foreign models, then Escalade. No comparison for tech, luxury, and uniqueness. The Heated massage seats have been wonderful, and like the little touches like ambient lit color interiors. The 20 Revel Ultima package is a must, and is unparalleled in sound. I wondered how any domestic car could rate so well, now it’s obvious. That twin turbo is quite the thrill :)

Give the lincoln smaller wheels with larger tires (same overall diameter), give it air ride suspension, and I'm sold. I'm kinda sold on it now, but likely a used one a few years from now, and I'll make those modifications myself. :)

I like how the Cadillacs look these days, but they have a high price and I worry they put the cart before the horse in terms of the practicality and functionality of their cars. What good is a cup holder if it can't hold most beverages? What good is a powerful engine if you don't want to drive it? What good is luxury if the ride is terrible?

I feel like every auto engineer and designer needs to be required to drive a semi truck for one month every year, delivering their own vehicles to dealerships, ideally 10k miles in that month. Swap between trucks every few days. Ask yourself "how does your butt feel?, do your legs hurt? how many times have you whacked your head? how much of what gets in your way? Why don't any trucks have leather seats? What options and features would make your life easier? (with and without a trailer) etc....

13:40 generational difference: when I come up to a stoplight, and there is an Escalade next to me, and I am the navigator, I don’t need to hear my exhaust. I merely look down on my fellow traveler in the Escalade, as I pass him quietly with dignity.

1:16 “not in love with it” Sir, thou art a heathen. 🤔🤓😂
I’m sure you would take a hammer to the spirit of ecstasy from a Phantom.

I have the pleasure of driving one of these new navigators at least once or twice a week. It reminds me of the real Lincolns of the 60s and 70s. The engine does what you tell it to do, without thinking about it first. However Lee is spinning in his grave when he sees a “plastic dash”. 150 grand for a Black Label, and you get a plastic dash? Seriously!!! Why not run a promotion? Mow down 1000 walnut trees, and plant 10,000 walnut trees in its place. One would expect a walnut dash, not a faux imposter. It’s amazing how they train us to accept mediocrity. Just like the boys, at Road and track in the 90s, said that we should “feel the ride”. I drive to Manhattan almost every day, I am 60 years old, I don’t want to “feel the ride”. let the “boys” at Road and track “feel the ride”. The “men” want a Barcalounger. And they have achieved that. The ride is nonpareil!!!

I don’t think anybody can really complain about either of the two aside from the ridiculous price tags they have. It’s not so much the navigator has a better interior it just has a better color mixture. The Cadillac just has too much leather. Both ridiculously nice. But this is coming from somebody that really enjoys driving his 1985 Chevy truck probably more than either of those 2 vehicles.

Navigator went backwards in style on the interior. I guess their going for the +50 men. They should of put a bench seat in it then. It's nice exterior but it gets confused with the new Kia new larger SUV and even the ugly Infinity SUV and add just ok reliability. After all the build up of the new Navigator, Cadillac blew it away again in sales for 2018, not a good thing during your first year with the new model. Cadillac will roll out the new Escalade in 20201 so Lincoln better ramp up it's sales somehow. I see the last year of the Lincoln Navigator coming in the near future. Nothing drives like a Cadillac. This race was over before it started.

Own both, but when you own then for a while Escalade wins by a first round K.O. The navigator you’ll get tired with in a month, but the Escalade never gets old. It stands out so much better the navigater turns into a piece of junk. I’m getting rid of the navigator for a pilot, but keeping the Escalade. Bottom line, the Escalade is great and stays great, but the navigator is awesome but then turns into a crappy car.
