Murano is new king uf 5 passenger suvs. Suprised no one has compared it to the crv it is prety similar in length andnweight. Both using a cvt, butmurano goes further on a tank ofngas. It looks much better and seats are more comfynthan a carnthat has comfortablenin itsnname. Nisswn even has it's version of honda's vtec(cvtcs) @its better tha thencrv in nearly every way. Not sure why crv is so popular without a panoramic moonroof, surroundview cam, and cooled seats the platinum murano outclasses the crv touring by far. All hail the new king. Confusing because itnis the exterior size of a compact with the jnteriornvolumenof a midnsized suv.

The muran atn14ft long it is about the same lrngth as a crv and at 2 tons itnweghs about the same as the crv. Itlooks much longer. The design is an illusion.

Anyone considering a Murano should be aware there is an ongoing issue with the cruise control and forward collision system that Nissan is not addressing. The cruise control will frequently stop working without warning causing the car to slow down unexpectedly.

I have been looking at both these SUV,s and like the styling of the Murano better. I think most people would agree with that. However I think the Pathfinder is a solid choice that in a lot of cases may be the better practical choice. I have 3 dogs of which one is a 130LBS Rottie. In my case the Pathfinder is the right vehicle. If I had to have an AWD or 4X4 than I wouldn't buy either of these cars.

Murano has horrible visibility inside. Like driving a tank. Tiny side windows and back window. Do love the high quality materials in the SL. For families Pathfinder is way better.

“Easier to Park”? If you have a problem parking a Pathfinder, just maybe you should stay in the passenger seat, or take some lessons.

I don't think anyone buys these types of cars for towing but the Pathfinder can tow up to 5000 lbs while the Murano can only do 1500 lbs. Just a thought.

Okay, clarification time. The 2016 pathfinder can tow 5000 lbs of pussy and the 2017 can tow 6000 lbs of pussy. Too bad I got the 2016. I could have had an extra 1000 lbs of pussy. 😉

I have a murano all pimped out. I have no crumb snatchers aka kids so no need of a larger vehicle. It’s awesome. Drives like a nice sedan car because it sits on a car chassis. Panther finder rides like a pickup truck as do most larger suvs... because they sit on a truck chassis 🚗 p.s. Gary Reed, you probably still get your dick caught in your zipper if your still hitting your head getting into a car 👻

Hi Joe, great review! I have a Mruano, I'm in IT and have that gear to tote around, and I have guitar gear for my band. I find the Murano trunk space to be very tight, especially in comparison to my wife's 2013 Highlander. You mention the Pathfinder trunk space, even with the third row down, is about the same behind the 2nd row as the Murano, but it looks larger. Can you clarify? As an FYI, the air conditioner, at least on my 2015 Murano, is not good, especially on very hot days. My wife's Highlander cools her car quickly, the Murano struggles. And there's some odd pressure build-up, almost creating a vibration, if you drive with the driver's window down and don't open the passenger window a crack. Strange, but the local dealer has heard this before. Anyway, interested in your thoughts re: cargo space. Thanks!

Doesn't look like anyone answered you Mike. What he was saying was that the Pathfinder has about as much CARGO room as the Murano does when the thrird row seats are in the up position! When the third row seats are layed down in the Pathfinder then there is WAAAYYYY more CARGO room than the Murano!

I have two small kids and miss my Pathfinder!! I regret downgrading in size. I would rather have more room than more luxury. The cargo space is WAY bigger than the Pathfinder!!!! Even the Rogue has more cargo space than the Murano

I test drove a Morano today, You hit your head every time you get in. I watched you drop your head, absolute deal killer. Also the rear area of the pathfinder is twice the size of the Murano. i almost never need that room but on a trip its Pathfinder.

Wife was getting her Rogue in for servicing a while back and we took a Mirano home. It was harder to get in the Mirano compared to the Rogue for me and that’s even a tactical move.

I haven't heard about any problems on either the Pathfinder or Infiniti's shared platform. However, something only needs to break once for you to be out a lot of money which is why new car owners should consider an extended warranty and used car buyers should always get a buyer's inspection at the dealer.
