Big trucks are getting bigger and cost as much as a house. The new Ranger is the same size as a '91 F150 and still too expensive. Why do I want a 4' side on the bed. Please bring back the Rachero or El Camino at a down to earth price the average person can afford and still be able to park in the garage. I really miss my S-10. Currently driving a no thrills '08 Ranger hoping it can last long enough before Ford and Chevy wise up that we all don't need or want a HUGE truck (even at the mid size level).

Well I don't know Tesla claims it's going to build a truck that will outsell the F-150 😂, come on Elon you're a smart fella even you don't believe that, still he's got to go through a lot of tough competition the big boys they have been dominating for ages Ford Chevy,Dodge, still tested us make some awesome cars and they're fast but as soon as there's a glitch or an error and that giant iPad looking center console the whole vehicle is disabled, how's that for a liability when you're an unknown neighborhood and trying to get out of there but your center console says ERROR, virus detected 🤣, please call IT department for assistance, Tesla will have to do his homework before competing against the big boys

I'm a die hard Ford man that owns a 1998 ford Ranger and really like for the most part the new but their prices are ridiculous . Ford might sell some at first with prices like this but it won't last . Ford's has lost touch with peoples income in general . Once the " newness" wears off , prices will have to come down or they will sit on the lot , not because of people not wanting them but because most of your market can' t afford one or unwilling to pay that much . They need to be reading these comments ! They say all that's needs to be said

I know looks are subjective but this truck is hideous from every angle, the interior is suv-ish, and the price is insane. However, GREAT in-depth review and at the end of the day, for the sake of being a “truck”, it gets the job done. It has the Ford Built Tough name behind it. This truck has a market out there that doesn’t include me.

When you can buy a Tacoma with a V6 for 15 grand less. I'd say the proven lousy track record of Ford is not the way to go vs. the Tacoma. Anyone stupid enough to buy a Ford with a little turbo engine should be forced into an intervention, scooped up and taken to a Toyota dealer.

Over priced for a 4 cylinder, no v6. If ford offered ranger with the 300 hp v6 would that be like 50K? will these 4 cylinder turbos run dependbly for 250,000 miles? Because I use my truck and take very good care of it. Better care than 95% of the rest of the population cause i have to make them last. They are to expensively priced for me to get a new one every 5 years or so. I need them to last 15-20 yrs. And all that talk about staying up late cause they are selling so good, im calling BS on that. So far based on what you can find on the internet for sales reports ranger is coming in last, Nissan and Toyota owning it, Chevy is in a better spot as well only to me because they offer a v6 Colorada. Look at what you get for the price and compare the new ranger against the tacoma and the frontier. you will see how bad of an idea this is for the money they are asking for these. Boarder line retarded on price imho. And any truck regardless of who makes it, for these prices if it does not include a bed liner it is a further kick in the nuts on pricing. If you tow 7000lbs in this 4 cylinder turbo after 40k miles or less it will be worn out having problems, I would not buy one used that had done any towing like that. People most always tow more than they should and end up abusing the trans and motor, that gets passed on to someone to be ripped off on a used car lot later.

I'll keep driving my 2004 Ranger. It's been very reliable since I drove it off the lot in 2004. This "new" Ranger isn't even new. Ford is just trying to sell you an truck that has been selling overseas for years now. I haven't seen any on the road. Full size trucks can be had for cheaper and with more features.

I cannot believe the amount of people that piss and moan about price, if you cant afford it then don't buy it, fuck, its pretty simple, stop your whining, it is what it is a modern truck, its not 1990 any more in case you haven't noticed. If the nissans etc are so cheap why are some of you even watching this video go buy your Nissan and stfu and stop complaining, unless you really want the ford more, ah ha, thats it, you really want the ranger more.

Good video on this truck.... people are complaining about the pricing, it is what it is........the $20K to $25K truck is long gone. Yes, the pricing is close to the full size truck that is highly discounted. But, not everyone wants a full size truck. The choice is your to make. It is your money and spend it wisely.
