Are you saying that you got 12k off a lease?

@BIGRUSH P The Idea of a lease is not to buy it out at the end rather give it back and lease again really cheap. The trick to leasing is to find a vehicle with 60% or higher residual value at the end of the lease, then negotiate the best out the door price including all rebates and discounts, so that you only make payments on the balance portion after deducting the residual.

Nice truck man. Congrats. Lease gets you a nice ride when buying may be too expensive. Super nice truck. Just leased the same one... Really surprised at the power and just in general how nice it is to drive. 2.7 amazing.

Why would anyone buy the 2.7 liter when options are 3.5 and 5.0

    • Mark Gennaro
Mark Gennaro In reply to patriot72114 God given rights

The 2.7 is cheaper than the 5.0 or the 3.5 - if you need a bigger engine, then buy a bigger engine - but if you don't, than why spend the extra money for something you don't need.

The 2.7 gets better gas mileage

patriot72114 God given rights 2.7 turbo makes way more torque at lower rpms than the 5.0. It's also not easy to find a 3.5 turbo in lower trim levels and when you do they usually offer less incentives on those trucks.

That is not a bug deflector below the front bumber, that helps with gas efficiency at higher speeds on the highway, if you care about that.

Engine is proven beyond its time already. You have an excellent truck. Dude don’t compare it to the Raptor it’s a different truck altogether! Don’t care for the raptor if you like and didn’t get it’s because it’s a money issue; I do appreciate walking us through your truck and it’s beautiful.. Enjoy

The raptor does not have 600 lbs of torque , rated at 510 that’s also flywheel number not true rwhp numbers. Tuning a lease is a horrible idea man, keep it stock. If you want to tune it , add aftermarket stuff buy one next time god bless Caleb .

Algarin01 payment is a bit higher than usual but with my credit it was OK. I'm not a big fan of leasing but really it's the way to go now days to avoid all the repair costs and you get to drive a new truck every 3 years.

Yea unfortunately not a good lease deal, infact they took you to the cleaners. You should be driving a Limited Trim 4x4 with those terms. I got a '18 XLT Screw 4x4, 52k sticker, for $370 All In, Sign & Drive (just first months payment), 24 months. And my deal is just good, not great. Some of the guys on the Leasehackr forum are getting them in the low $300's with CPO offers. F-150's are probably the best lease bargain of any vehicle on the road (the outgoing Ram is real close), you just have to be really in-tune with Rebates/Lease Residuals/MF's in your region.
