On uneven roads do you hear clunking noise under the car?

Groan ... Loved the video; thanks! I've had my RDX (Tech) Pkg) a month now & love it! BTW, I thought all AWD got the spare tire as part of the deal. I guess yours did not have it bec it was A-Spec.

You can't actually get the correct mpg figure by adding and divide by two. To get an accurate mpg you have to invert both figures, take the average of those inverted numbers, and then invert that result. Even this only works if it is the same mileage in both directions. Anyway it's not a big difference in this case; 22.95 mpg is the correct result. This is all because the real rate of fuel usage is gallons per mile not vice versa.

Your math does not add up. If I drive 70 miles one way slightly uphill and get 22 mpg at 75 mph, then do a return trip 70 miles slightly downhill at 75 mpg and get 24 mpg, the average was 23 for the 140 miles..cannot be any other way. Gallons per mile is what you figure for 54 ton Abrams tank...if a vehicle does not use more than one gallon in a mile, it is miles per gallon.

Nice run up Yarnell hill and part way to Prescott. One of my favorite motorcycle roads and it's not bad in a good car with some power. I like this car a lot but the fuel economy is an issue. The performance looked very impressive in this clip. The much larger MDX pulls better averages than this with a 6 cylinder. I'm taking a hard look at the new CX-5 Signature turbo. Its 10 grand less and is tapping on the luxury door and I'm guessing 25-27 mpg will be the real world average when they come out on that car.

+chad haire I went with the CX-9 GT AWD. Not quite as sporty as the RDX but a very quiet, stable great handing SUV that comes close to the luxury and performance for a less money. Its aslo not going to be great on gas. Seeing about 21-22 mixed. 26 will be the top highway MPG at 65-70 mph but real world interstate speeds will be a bit less. They are dealing the CX-9's now. Picked up a new 2018 GT AWD for about 34.5K. Mazda is making some noise out there. It's amazing how many new car buyers over-look them.

Acura's equivalent to the Lexus RX350 is the MDX, not the RDX.

thats is hard to say--the RX will last longer and get better gas mileage so more practical, but RDX is quicker. Both cost too much.

Top of the line is the Advance trim in the US. ASpec is an appearance trim. No difference in performance. And the other trims have a spare tire.

Chad...……...After watching dozens of SUV videos I've decided on the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL model. I can purchase just what I want for under 28k.  A 2.4 FWD with a bunch of standard safety features. Really like the all new style and size.
