Chevrolet’s Traverse gets completely redesigned for 2018 to offer a very spacious, stylish option to those who need 3 rows of seating in a midsize SUV. A sporty new RS trim with a smaller engine and a meaner-looking grille and a new flagship High Country trim with all-wheel drive, every available factory upgrade, and an exclusive brown-and-black leather interior join the lineup, and all versions support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to including the Teen Driver system.

A 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder with 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque powers the RS and gets EPA estimates of 20 mpg city, 26 highway. All other Traverses use a more powerful version of last year’s 3.6-liter V6, now with 305 hp and 260 lb-ft and estimates of 18 mpg city, 25 highway with front-wheel drive. Reviewer Chris Wardlaw managed to beat those estimates over a week of driving, and he calls the Traverse the best 3-row option for anyone who doesn’t need the towing capacity of the more expensive Tahoe. We got the premier ins, paid off good on the chevy trailblazer we had as it was totaled,i had a couple thousand saved 12 down got us 500 a month and the dealers pulled no bluffs we were with the manager, owner, and even the sales person later paid for out of his own pocket some nice floor mats till the ordered ones came in.Everything was transparent,i never thought nothing about heated seats who needs that crap, but I have had a few surgeries and that warme seat and me get along just fine,i tilted the back down all the way told the wife,Go thata way, wake me when we get there. :) SAFE VEHICLE TOO!!!

I love my 2015 but wow what an improvement. Yes downshifting really helps and in towing mode the transmission is programmed to help hold your speed going downhill while pulling a 2600 lb. trailer even in cruise control. Braking is minimal. Amazing. I'm sure other similar rigs have that ability.

Please note that dear friends!!!!!!!!!!! ...... In GM the client is zero and no customer service at all. If you bought a car and you have a fault to be prayed to God, the management of GM does not care at all. For a long period of time, GM lies to me and I pray to God that it will be over. For those who wish to buy a car in GM, I strongly encourage him to learn a prayer for God. Beware of GM!!!!!!!!

I really enjoy most of his reviews. However, in this case he missed a lot of technology that Chevrolet has fit into the new Traverse. Surround Vision, Hands Free lift gate with LED, Rear View Mirror camera are just a few examples. I am a Salesperson at a Chevy, Buick, and GMC dealership. GM has put a lot of time and funding into this project and I truly believe this car is an absolute game changer. The Enclave is a lot more defined and smoother but does not offer a lot of the same technology. Videos and Photos do not do this vehicle justice. Go drive One, you will not regret it!

Does anyone own a 2018 Chevy Traverse LS? An Error message, " All wheel drive system service" occurred after exiting a Parking lot lane in which we turned right. Immediatly I heard what sounded like a knuckle or clock clock knock.
I looked up on recalls and comments and a 2016 comment came up and stated a loose Bolt on axle. Taking her into dealer tomorrow....please comment your experiences

The 2018 Traverse seems really nice; too bad standard safety features on the $31k Toyota Highlander will cost you nearly $53k on the Chevrolet Traverse!!! WTF GM!!! SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL!!!

Some day tell your kids- you know what, you have to take a loan for college, because I spent 17K in extra car options including brown seats with "rocky mountain" logo - when you were 7 years old.

Or just buy a lower trim if you cant afford the high country. That is why there are different options.

I tell my kids that college is ADULT education and they can pay for their own ADULT education. (Never heard of Kids rent fund, kids car fund, kids utiity fund. etc etc etc.) Here is a better idea: someday tell your kids there is a word called "serve" and it is when we serve others. They can start serving in the military. That is a wiser way to finance their ADULT education....if you can call it education.....

I test drove it. I agree with the wind noise being much more than others in segment. Braking and overall handling were not impressive either. It feels ponderous on the road.

Calisparkz2 Motor Trend has the large Traverse handling as well or better than the other 3-row crossovers that are only allow kids in the 3rd row.

Mark Kochenderfer I also test drove the Traverse and apart from some slight wind noise, it drives very well and definitely accelerates better than a lot of the competition. Have no idea what you’re talking about?
