The New Ford F150 has 5 different engine options. This video applies to the 2015 F150, 2016 F150, and now the 2017 model. The only exception is the 2017 2nd generation 3.5L EcoBoost that is more powerful than before.       I have a hard time finding any credibility in videos or the written press when it comes to new tech, especially.. I believed that somehow Ford mitigated turbo lag since A) that's what I read and secondly the use of 2 small turbos on the manifolds but don't kid yourself. My 2.7 is quite possibly the most powerful engine for it's size or anything near it's size there's little doubt but I don't drive at Indy all day at 4000rpm. There's ZERO torque until the turbos kick and pins you in your seat but that's not what driving dynamics are all about. Coupled with the 10 sp tranny which is programmed to get into 10th gear as fast as possible whether your going 35 or 85 mph and no downshifting either makes this one of the worst combo's ever devised by anyone and makes me glad I lease my F150...i had a feeling....

      I have the 2.7 ecoboost, and love it! My truck does everything I ask of it, hauling, towing. However these MPG estimates are b.s. I get about 15 around town, 18/19 on highway.

      Went with XL SRX with 2.7L and 3.53 gears. Tried the 5.0 and really doggy off the line compared to the 2.7 which also is a 10spd, smooth.

      I had the 2.7 & it was junk... junk that could haul a load off hat would blow your mind... and fly, that thing would fly... tuned & to n awd it beat many sports cars, wow... but, it had constant issues, it never got mpg promised ( esp when I added real world truck tires) now I had a 3.5 in a flex and great engine... but, I’m a v8 guy from now on, no more turbo, complicated and not as dependable... and a 302 can have a supercharger and get 600hp... lol

      I recently bought a 2018 f150 Lariat crew with the 5.0. It's the fastest vehicle I've ever owned! Much faster than my 79 Trans Am, 82 Z28 or BMW 325i. 395bhp and an aluminum body makes this thing a rocket in comparison to my 2013 2500HD despite it's 400bhp! When I pass on a two lane highway I'm up to 90 before I know it and have to slow back down.

      Awesomeness a lot of problems with the aluminum bodies just getting dinged for a bottle cap hitting him you know what I mean aluminum bends easily beaten to death like that commercial from Chevrolet when they had steel beds he sure aluminum was a good idea and repairing it I'm told by Buddy people is a nightmare to stick body panels with Banda it just fails so let me know if I'm wrong on what I think I know about Ford's
