We've brought out a hulk of a vehicle - the 2014 model Dodge RAM 2500 Laramie. What a car! Graham is a bit excited to be reviewing this beast for sure - and we bet he'd like to take this one on his travels when he next goes out and about!

Makes me laugh, every ones on about how its to long or to high or expensive to run or buy, me, first thing I think of, its just way to damn wide to get down 90% of the track's in Australia let alone any sharp hair pin turns you may come across. Expect to be touching up not only your paint but your body work after each bush outing lol.

Awesome that these are being imported at a reasonable price..makes a joke out of buying a Volkswagen or Ranger for $70 grand. Hope Ford, Chevy and GMC follow suit and import their 1500s to compete!..

Wheel track is a concern to me I see people bitching about on line like you said maybe just picking holes.
I was almost at $100000 grand with mods done to a 79 tray bar work etc.
When you look close these rams are built Dana diffs sold axel, borg Warner transfer case . A lot of the fancy stuff would get deleted over time.
The old f250 from 2000’s nicked name the ironing board for handling the courgations.

walkabout1094 difference in front and rear wheel track has never affected anybody, it’s just another excuse for people to pick holes in Toyota, 75k is cheap, take a look at the price of a new ranger, 80k before on road costs for something that will either catch on fire or let you down when you don’t want it to. I actually purchased a 79 series GXL Ute in 2015 for 60k brand new.

Dave D I know enough that the floor on a old 45 gets red hot. troopies rust bad in the gutters and the 79 series has 100 mm difference in wheel base and want $75000 to buy one. I’m think Toyota are taking us for granted.

51% taxes , adds $65000 to a 150k aud car , I haven't included Rhd conversion costs yet $30000 . Explains why we pay way more in Australia than Usa Blame Government , not the small business franchise that sell these trucks to consumers

very capable off-road trucks as hundreds of thousands of these worldwide have proven. May have long wheelbase in this version, with normal mods like larger tires, lift, removal of low hanging running boards etc they will run with most anything/anywhere. See vids on here of Dodge trucks at Utah running where Jeeps run. Trash talkers posting here are just trolls jealous of Cummins power and Dodge durability.

airbats801 fellow American here. He speaking in terms of metric tonnes. That would be 4500kgs. That would be closer to 10k lbs. It's gvwr in the US is closer to 20k but for Australian Regulations it probably is rated much lower for Saftey reasons.
