5 things I love the most about my 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5

Hey Paul, have you had any issues with your hood rattling when in drive, at an idle? I’ve heard complains regarding the 2018 Accord Sport doing so, and not sure if it’s common or if they’re lemons..

I love everything that you mentioned although I knew about them lol but I couldn’t help but wondering why you didn’t mention The most important feature of all Honda sensing?

What I’d like to see if you decide to make another video is a demonstration on how Honda sensing works.

Since you’re in your car most of the time there’s a few personal things I would like to know:

      1. (Honda sensing)I know how it works but could you give a demonstration?

      2. (Audio system) How does the system sound I know it’s 180 watts 8 speaker sound system.

      3. (Automatic high beams) how do you turn the feature on? Or does the feature come automatically set?

      4. Have you had any problems with your rims, and tires on the Sport?

This is my first time watching your videos I enjoyed it, and I felt like you were very passionate about your likes and what meant the most to you.

Question.. When the hold brake is applied and you're at a stop are your brake lights still "on"? I would hate to be at a stop and have the brake hold on only to have the person behind you think you let off the brake and so they do only to end up bumping into you.

Definitely a great car for the money, sedan sales are slowing due to SUV sales in the US, but Honda continues to improve the Accord. IMO, this is the best generation of Accord yet. I have the 2.0T Sport, after more than a year of ownership, I enjoy driving it just as much now as day one. Good to see people making YouTube videos about the 10th Gen Accord, it really doesn't get enough attention.

I have the 2019 EX version and because I'm old school I find it hard to relinquish some of my control over to the car, even though I know it's likely not to fail me. So everywhere I drive, it's a back and forth dance between my skill as a driver and a moment here in there where I allow the car to do something that I've done countless times on my own. Each time I hold my breath slightly and hope it doesn't fail me. How exciting it is to lock onto the car in front of me and know that if that car where to suddenly brake, my car would apply the brakes as well. We are all distracted drivers, a moment here, a moment there when you are looking somewhere other than straight ahead. This safety-net feature is by far the most impressive to me. I'm not sure how much of this was available on the 2018 models.

I traded in a 4Runner AWD for a Camry Hybrid while I lived in Wisconsin. Put on a good set of snow tires ( Michelin X Ice is what I had) and the car was incredible almost as good as 4WD never got stuck and I was literally scraping the underside on snow in a Culvers Drive Thru that was occupied by 4X4's and snow mobiles.

I look for small little things when I buy a car, the wiper delay feature has to have a nice long delay 30-45 second sweeps? My toyota doesn't delay long enough..also sun visor extensions, backseat dome lights, sliding adjustable center armrest. 1 feature I don't find on cars is being able to leave the car running in Park,,and I can get out of the car and lock the door with the remote. Some cars for example Mercedes Benz and the Camry, you can't leave the car run and lock the doors with the remote. You must use a key blade to lock the door, pain in the ass. For instance if you want to run into the store briefly and you want to leave the car run ...How does this work with this Honda?. 1 other thing... when you're driving with the car in manual shifting mode and you're approaching Redline will the car upshift or will it stay in the gear you have selected? Thanks.

Glad you are loving your car. These Accords are pretty amazing, especially for the money. I just picked up a brand new (6 miles on odometer) 2018 model today. They had it discounted to move and just couldn't pass up the deal. It was a Sport 2.0T model, but I'm very excited. I didn't care it wasn't a 2019 model. I saved money and same car.

I bought the 2L Sport 5 days ago. It pulls and is quicker than the 2017 V6. I’ve blew a few of the 2017’s out on the highway because they speed up as soon as they notice I’m in the newer model. This car has more torque. Can anybody say butt hurt? I’ve always wanted a 2L turbo. It’s quick, solid and handles nice. I’m all about forward thinking. This car has it.

I can't stand CVT's they are a crutch for higher mpg's. With the 10 speed I get 28 mpg combo of about 50/50 city and country backroads. Went down to LA a couple of weeks ago didn't go under 80 through the grapevine 350 mile round trip and still got 32 mpg. Plus the 2.0 is just plain quick, Love how it breaks the tires loose at 20 mph you can't do that in a CVT.

Do you know that if you buy a key fob for the LX model and have it programmed for your 2018 or 2018 Sport model it will have auto start. The Sport model has it, there just isn't a button for it on the key fob.

Cuberittt FYI - they also have a way to program the original fob. Once it’s programmed you just push the lock button 3x and it starts. There is a you tube video showing a company called extreme audio that does it.

The fact that Honda did not include the turbo boost gauge on the 2.0T 6MT is unreal. There's an ECON button and you'd think that when it was turned off, that it would default into sport mode. Why would I want a turbo boost gauge in the first place ? I didn't buy a 2.0T to be economical. Even in the future, nothing works #SpaceBalls

The key/remote is same as the 2013 model, and yes, it is pocket-friendly. However, just came across a recent video where the guy programmed another oem key with remote-start button on it and yep, that actually worked without even opting for the same from the dealer.

Secret : Remote start is on all models. Just buy the key fob and have your dealer program it to your car. The features I like is the lane keep assist standard. The features I don’t like is the missing break lights on the trunk lid. Only lights up the bottom portion. I also don’t like that there’s is no trunk button and that the trunk release on the key doesn’t work with engine on. I also don’t like the water build up behind the gas cap door. I don’t like the side view mirrors extremely big blind spots on driver side.

Chad Webb They don’t run just 0-60 times , they do quarter mile as well. Stop distance , but again these numbers can vary with driver , weather conditions , elevation dramatically. It’s not a published number that the car just runs no matter what lol. No worries though my friend.
