Damn... that's a great car! That's why I like Opel/Vauxhall! It may be not the best, but certainly if you are not billionaire it gives you the best value for your money. And their performance models have always been AWESOME cars!

A real car enthusiast would have a manual in a car like that. No point driving a performance car if you can't be in full control of it.

I'm quite sure the good old ICE won't die :)
EV cant hold the entire market no matter what stupid politicians are doing. I also bet that after 10-15 years we going to wake up and realize that EV is not part of the solution - it is part of the problem and they will have the same destiny like the diesel now...
Currently EV is as dirtier as ICE and I don't think we going to see significant improvement (at least not with the current technologies), while there are some development of synthetic fuels that could be way, way better. So lets wait and see :)

Benzinio well I’m afraid they will, theres no need for a gearbox when your car has an electric motor

It is the manual that teaches you how to drive properly and how to feel the car.

Ive had several Boxsters and 911’s including a brand new anniversary, all were automatics except one manual which was shit to drive, but it wouldn’t do for us all to be the same, Manual cars are a thing of the past

I'm disagree with both of you!
It is kind of stupid to have manual gearbox on 2 ton limousine, it might be powerful car, but it is also smooth. There is no place to be hooligan in some of this.
BUT it drives me crazy to see a roadster like Porsche Boxter or similar with auto! I'm literally ready to kill the owner! It is not how fast the modern auto or dual-clutch can change gears - it is about the feeling and control. It is a bloody damn drivers car and you should act like such!

I wonder how sharp this Car is.. Have you ever driven a BMW M5 F10 for example ? Or an BMW M4? I drove one once .. I would Like to know how close the VXR Insignia comes to these Cars in terms of Handling ..direct Steering and Flat cornering . ?

    • HURRICANE
      HURRICANE In reply to HURRICANE

Yes surely it isnt on that Level in many things . But I had the Feeling that the direct Steering and Flatcornering Feel could be on M3 E92 Level in VXR Mode .

its an awesome car for the money, lots of power, great handling, however it isnt up to M5 or M3 standard as you would expect and i have never driven an M4 so cant say, but its a lot lot cheaper than the BM's and a whole lot of fun
