      1) snow tires
      2) turn off the traction control
      3) learn how to drive in the snow

I live in New York and I have no problem in the snow. You can't blame the car when its the driver.

Are you serious ? Look at the tires, they are summer, very similar to Continental ContiSportContact 5 SUV. Put Continental WinterContact TS 860, then look test. And if you try your Q7, then put the same summer tires as it was on x5. The Xdrive system is one of the best and especially new x models.

Two words brother...."Snow Tires" Limited slip won't help if you don't have snow tires

Like mentioned improper tires, also would it hurt to get some chains or some other device to put on the tires to get more traction? Even with crappy all seasons, if you had some chains, you would have been fine. You can go ahead and get an Audi you'll get stuck as well with sport tires on. While you're at it get a Ford Raptor and you'll get stuck as well with improper tires.

You're so dumb, for one you can't blame a car, it's all about the tires and AWD, 2, you don't even know what LSD is, it absolutely DOES NOT HELP in the snow, and 3, if you can't afford to buy snow tires, what are you doing buying a bimmer smh

I agree that he needs snow tires and maybe even chains but some types of LSD will help in the snow vs an open diff since they will power the wheel with traction as opposed to spinning the wheel that's slipping uselessly

A couple of thoughts. First, that's some wet snow you're playing in. I can tell by how it clumps up. Temps are probably around freezing, give or take a few degrees. Very challenging conditions for any vehicle; the closer you are to freezing, the slimy-er everything gets. Second, you appear to be using all-season tires, possibly the OEM tires. They're unsuitable for these conditions; remember that the OEM tires are selected for quiet ride and fuel efficiency (which are one and the same, from a physics standpoint), both of which are great attributes but they eliminate any tire with even mediocre snow traction.

Dedicated winter tires would radically improve your X5's sno-going capabilities. I have essentially the same vehicle you're using in this vidio and I have a second set of wheels for winter use, onto which I've mounted Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV tires. The vehicle absolutely dominates the road in snow, and I live in the Arrowhead region of Minnesota where we get around 100" a year. If you've never driven on real bad-ass winter tires, you'll be shocked at the difference.

      Happy trails, mate.

I experienced something like this today in Rochester Minnesota first time in 3 years that I have been stuck with it. I know if I had the option of locking all 4'a up it would of not been a issue. I don't see as much down here as you do up there but if we have another year like this I'll get what you just recommended thanks for the info.

If you had actual snow tires on that thing, and knew how to drive in snow you would have had no problems. It's not the car's fault

Aphexis even with winter tires this would happen unless it’s brand new or 1 year used winter tires. It’s because no limited slip differential (LSD)
