Today I talk about how I was able to afford the GT-R. I purchased this on my own using money management skills and budgeting. And learning the ins and out of automotive financing was the other half to work my way to an easy approval for this. In all honestly it's very straight forward to be able to afford a car like this with an average salary, and if you stay positive, budget your money and take baby steps. Anyone can do this!

Nothing in life will ever get handed to you, you simply have to earn everything on your own. Don't expect handouts in life, only you can make your dreams and goals happen! :)

+Texas Racing If I lived with them, I'd have a lambo next to this lol. Yeah that's such a waste for ppl to try a mooch of their parents. They'll never learn anything. I moved out when I started college. That kept me motivated to achieve what I wanted

+Bros FOURR Speed Just a throw away comment. I'm glad you don't still live with your parents. Too many youngsters live for free with their parents so they can buy the things they couldn't otherwise afford. Nice ride!

lol no. I earned everything myself. My parents taught me from a young age that nothing gets handed to you in life. If you believe the only way to achieve a nice car at a young age is relying on your parents, then how do you think it'll ever happen??

Even with kids and a family, anything is possible. Change your mentality and bad habits and you are one step closer to purchasing your dream car or house.

Exactly! Since I have no kids, obviously the GT-R came sooner. But if I did, it would still happen, just a year or two later. Anything is possible!

Thank you. I am on my father's account, my name is Colton Cooley. I am trying to set at least 50 dollars aside every month, so far I have over 500 dollars in my bank account. This has helped me start to save at the age of 15 to have a story like you. Thank you.

god i hope my kids are this sensible with money at your age! we live in a world where consumerism has gone mad. for me i am happy with the sw20 turbo and fn2 i just bought outright and my money that is equivalent to what you spend on your car payments goes on the 2 kids and 12 pets i have but everyone has different priorities in life and if i was just me with no family or pets it would be attainable for me as well. eating out and spending £6 a day on coffee is where people go wrong tbh!!

Please stop making these crappy videos. It just shows that you're in a massive debt and you're bad with money. I'm 27 and i bought my house at 25. Could've bought a fancy car but living in an apartment and driving a fancy car does not make sense.

It all depends on your perspective. Owning a home has a lot of hidden costs. You pay a ton in interest, like $60k over the 30 year mortgage. And you'll have to live there for about 7 years to actually profit any money when you sell it. If I sell this car today, 1 year later, I'll get a check from the bank for $40k. So if I'm in need of the money, I have plenty of equity in the car to cover anything. Plus, for my business, this car makes me a higher return than my interest on the loan. Lastly, this car brings a lot of joy to my life. I'd be super un happy having a payed off Camry and owning a home. You only live once, and this is more enjoyable for me, and actually makes me more money than a house would. Live your life the way you want

You dont own that depreciating liability that you are making interest payment on. The bank does. On top of that, nobody should be driving around in $70k car while renting. Don’t kid yourself man. Your choice to drive GTR while being on paycheck and renting says a lot about your financial acumen. You have none.

The hard part is when your family and friends are toxic/ pessimist...i guess if you want a certain car go to those car meets and find like minded people that can encourage, mentor and maybe let you test drive your dream car

P.S. - tax deductions from having a business really helps

So you mentioned that you don't have a salary anywhere close to $100,000. Let's say I have a salary of $70,000. What's the possibility of getting a GT-R? It does seem that discipline is your best friend when getting a car like this. Hmmm...

What you spend money on is more important than how much you make a year. A guy making 75k and paying off a house, with 2 kids and a wife, is gonna have less money to play around with than a person that makes 50k but is single with no kids and barely any bills. I just financed 45k and put 16.5k down for 4% APR on a 2012 that I'll be picking up this week. I only make 50k but my annual spending doesn't exceed 3k a year so I can easily pay it off in no time. I needed my parent to cosign with the credit union for the low APR, because I don't have a long credit history, but I do have the income (I used to have the "always pay with cash" mindset so I didn't get a credit card until recently). There's no shame in asking for help.
