I met Amy in Chamonix and loved her tiny van conversion. She converted a 2004 Peugeot Expert into a neat camper that sleeps two with a kitchen and storage.

It was cool, to find out that she had used my van How-To videos to help her in the process!

Check out Van Conversion guide here: goo.gl/15n4sx

What I like about it is that it is really efficient with space and somehow makes this small stealth van in to a really cozy travel home. She was pretty rushed before her trip so there are thing she will improve later - but over all she has done a great job.

In this video Amy gives some great how-to tips, information about her build, the insulation, bed design, kitchen unit and talk about how long it took and insight into her build process.

The van cost €1600 and the fit-out cost about €1000. TOTAL = €2600... for a tiny home that you can go anywhere in (and use while back at home) shows what you can do when on a budget.

When I met her she had been travelling for two months and over-all she was totally loving van life as she travelled around Europe rock climbing.

+Nate Murphy ok going there now bec I was looking for it in the video descriptions novel. I have watched this video at least 20 times...I think I'm a Murphy channel binge watcher. Also, I read my comment above and want to apologize for the tone. I think this is my second comment on this video but on that day I really wished I could reach out to her. Tks Nate! Awesome guide btw...I purchased it quite some time ago!

I like the magnet catches and seals on the gas box- it seems far easier and less conspicuous to add a vent to a vehicle than a full gas locker, and it's still plowing ventilation of the gas

cool van, I van lifed for about 4 months and it was literally just a folded up futon in the back with some bins.

My advice to anyone wanting to trying it, just do it, you dont need a working kitchen or anything, there are libraries/colleges/7-11 for that shit

just put a mattress in and go, btw you dont need to buy really expensive material for window covers, just go to home depot, buy reflector strips and trace it to your window, go to michaels and buy some double sided Velcro and presto, easy and cheap, I think most van lifers over think it tbh

I'm Cherokee/Irish, so obviously I am going with Native American Flavour with my Van, I dont use a whole lot of electric power, for the exception of my phone, so maybe one solar panel will do me. Though I might have a very small fridge/freezer, small sink with a water pump, hope that one solar panel will do, if not two, but I am not electrical savvy, so any ideas again Nate.

I like the simplicity of her van. I used to have an old Ford Econoline van that I traveled in - just foam and carpet on the floor. I would like to go to Europe and travel, with my bicycle and kayak (flat water). How easy is it to find a van to buy on the continent? When I was there many years ago it was all VW buses.

Not too hard to find vehicles- just need to be able to insure / register it. Helps if you have some contacts.
