For 2019, Corvette is bringing back the ZR1, Chevy's King Of The Hill. With 755 horsepower and looks to match, we take the new ZR1 on the road to see if it's worthy of this legendary name.

Watching this review was an awesome treat after meeting you in person today. I don't recall a more professional, informative, or higher quality review or YouTube production than the one I just enjoyed, this one. Seeing my local neighborhood on the "BigScreen" was pretty neat also. Keep up the good work. My wife asked "Where do we place the order and who do we send the check to."

You’re really good at this, very natural. Mu only criticism the voice over sound quality is iffy to my, kinda boomy and and weirdly compressed. Perhaps a better mic will resolve it

Incredible car. I just wish it had more of the supercharger whine. While it sounds amazing, I think the whine would just add “something”. Much like the Hellcat, that thing sounds impressive.

I wanna get a car that’s over 100k (maybe over 150k) that I wanna drive throughout my 20s, and I was thinking about getting this. But the thing is, I’m afraid when people see this, they won’t see a 100k car, they’ll just see a corvette.

I live just outside the city limits of Chicago. There's really nowhere I can open this up. can I just get myself a ZO6 and bolt on the wing?? Are you really telling me I can tell a difference saving so much money??

    • Brian Makse
Brian Makse In reply to Sean Kent

You do have great tracks nearby. Autobahn and the legendary Road America. Nobody can duplicate that wing without mega fabrication. It’s connected directly to the chassis like I talk about. Anything less and it’s just for show

Brian Makse I don't doubt the power difference be perfectly honest with you. Over 700 horsepower is extraordinary. If you don't live near a track where can this car get its stretch... and maybe you can answer this question for me? Can I bolt one of those wings on top of a ZO6? I mean can a professional do it, of course??

    • Brian Makse
Brian Makse In reply to Sean Kent

I’m not telling you anything, but if you don’t think you can feel the power and chassis differences, you’re probably right. You’re better off with a Grand Sport.

Cool piece of engineering. I just think this market doesn't know what its doing. The whole point is to get specs on paper that are mind-blowing, but completely unrealizable to all but the most elite drivers in controlled settings. And its all at the cost of insane complexity and therefore cost of ownership, loss of spirit, etc. Owners will be excited to talk about all of the features this car has, but they will be memorizing bullet points from the pamphlet, not enjoying the car itself. Let's be honest, the guys who will buy this car have never pulled half a G without shitting their pants. People who actually enjoy driving prefer things like hydraulic power steering, mechanical LSD's, minimally-invasive traction control, and don't get me started on auto-rev-matching which people should be embarrassed about.

looks like shit, ain't gonna win Lemans with this dog, Ford GT and Porsche 911 will run circles around this turd. But hey the highway American faggot kids and balding old men will love it which is its intended audience. But I'll take the Porsche 911 for a daily driver all day long, and the 911 doesn't resort to some "ricer wing" for attention getter.
