Quick walk-around of a dually equipped with GM's puck system & a Curt 5th wheel hitch, as well as the optional trailering camera system.

That's definitely cool, but aside from the rear brake camera and wireless trailer camera I honestly do not see a point in the side cameras. They are simply providing the same angle and view you would get if you just looked at the mirror itself.

You should be able to! Trucks built after August, 2014 should be compatible!

I like it! I ordered a 2019 HIGH COUNTRY 3500 Dually 4x4 with a lot of options including the 5th wheel prep package and the Curt 25k hitch I'm supposed to pick the truck up later today from the dealer if I would have known that this was a available option I wouldn't have hesitated to get it as well. I guess I will have to get it added on. This is my personal opinion of course but I have loved every Chevy that I've ever owned in my life. I know there are Ford guys and Dodge guys who feel that they are the best & that's ok. That's the freedom of America to be able to buy what you want.

Hi Tim, I will check into this and get back to you. I went to GM Accessories today and from what I read there seems to be a discrepancy regarding the use of the 3rd brake light camera (used to hook up your 5th wheel), and the wireless camera (mounted to the back of your camper). I have done several installs where all the cameras work together. Now they're telling me the 3rd brake light camera is not compatible with the rear wireless camera for your camper. With that said, the you're looking at approximately $1,929 for all 4 cameras installed.

Are those tow mirrors with the side view cameras available in the chrome style as well?

Yes, you can add this system to the chrome camper mirrors, as well as the normal size Silverado/Sierra mirror. They do not have to be the full size camper mirror.

is that only an option on the dually's or on all of the l5p's?

Nihad, that camera system is available for any Chevy/GMC with the 8" MyLink Radio. It can be added to trucks with the standard mirrors or camper mirrors. It's an aftermarket GM product available online or through the dealer.

What are the arrows at the top right of the screen?
Any way to leave the backup camera on while driving like you do with the side cameras?

    • truckguyjoe
truckguyjoe In reply to Aaron Bobeck

Aaron Bobeck, if you press on the arrows in the top right corner, it shuts off the turn signal screens...that way you do not lose your Camera selection screen. Essentially it disables the left and right turn signal fullscreen image. I don't know how to keep the back up camera on (tailgate) while driving...but there is a way to turn on the camera that shows in the bed while backing up. This way while in reverse you can watch yourself lineup to the hitch in the bed.

Very neat truck, very sharp as well. How much does a truck like this one shown in the video cost usually?

Ginga Ninja, as shown with accessories (hitch, cameras, running boards, push bar) in the neighborhood of $60,000 depending on incentives for the month.
