Since the gasoline prices have been quite low these past few years, car owners still do not seem too eager to buy enormous gas guzzling full-size SUVs as their daily drivers, but rather prefer to purchase compact crossovers, which basically are as economical as smaller cars, but offer additional practicality in the form of higher clearance, roomier interior, more luggage space and at times all-wheel drive capabilities.

Today we will be showing you a list of the best crossover SUV models on the market in 2018, that combine great pricing under $30,000 and rich packaging with good reviews.

Manufacturers usually respond do demand. The people continue buying such vehicles, then there doesn't seem to be any problem with current variety of available colors.

I'm a Brit, but if I wanted a Crossover/SUV in USA then I would seriously consider the Chevrolet Equinox 1.6 Turbo Diesel with the GM6T45 6 speed automatic transmission. If I was looking at Gasoline cars, then I would probably look at Hyundai and Kia. The 2.4 Sorento would be adequate.

Both Hyundai and Kia have updated their crossover and SUV lineups for the 2019 model year, so we've all got now more options to choose from.

It sucks we here in USA can’t get that Peugeot 3008. I’d drive that crossover. The idea of that instrument panel up higher to be more in the sight line combined with a slightly smaller wheel. And who wouldn’t want a car offering cat’s paw massage.

They may be waiting for the sales forecasts. If the car performs well in other parts of the globe, then bringing it to the USA could only be the matter of time.

Well they are being made in Mexico. Perhaps that PSA partnership could allow an Americanized version. If Alpha Romeos are seducing the auto journalists here in NA perhaps Peugeot.

The only option there that can be considered “affordable” is the Duster, all the others are rlly expensive cars. And even the Duster’s “cheap” price comes with a price, too: only 2 airbags and no ESC?? Like seriously?? All these brands think people shit money or sth, and that’s why some Chinese cars are in of late, because of their amazing equipment and extensive safety measures for prices that can truly wear the tag of “Affordable”.

I've been quoted 29,900 for Mazda CX-5 for the top trim level on a car which on other brands those equipment levels get you close if not over 40k. Coming from a Land Rover, I find the mazda brand questionable in terms of offroad capabilities but I know people are bragging about its reliability. So I'm in a dillema here lol. The VW Tiguan came to mind with this video, so I might consider that, depending on the offers I might get

Mazdas do have great feedback from the owner's community but I doubt that I'd feel anywhere close to a Land Rover (these seem to be like in two different classes). VW started to make their crossovers to fit the near-luxury segment, so those are nice too. But everything depends on your needs, off course.
