Due in large part to over-reaching styling the latest generation TL received a tepid welcome when it launched in 2009. In an effort to keep it competitive Acura remade the TL via a mid-cycle refresh, tweaking its exterior and updating its powertrain. The result is a more efficient luxury sedan that's easier on the eyes.

First of all , TL was discontinued in 2014, its now TLX. That car is a lot better looking than this one,.

Richard Zhang is it a reliable vehicle. Does it shows any issues with engine or tranny after 100## ks

Many of the systems rely on each other. For example, you can't have lane-departure warning without surround-cameras because you wouldn't have the cameras to see. City stop wouldn't work without adaptive cruise as the radar/lasers/cameras that control that wouldn't be there.

Now as far as them rolling in lane departure with a moonroof, upgraded audio system, and a flux capacitor, I agree with you. That's B.S. because they're unrelated.

The new transmission makes it feel lots quicker than the 5-speed auto. BMW 3 series will run almost 10k more with the same equipment, and the seats in the BMW will be distinctly less comfortable. I've had Acuras since 2004 and reliability has been perfect. Base model needs better tires, tho.

I love my 2012 Acura TL too. It is so comfortable and fun to drive. I have serious back issues and the lumbar support that varies electronically with a push of a button makes my drive a lot less painful.

You would think that they would at least have folding rear seats since trunk space is tight, and they dont!

The trunk space is a deal killer
