The 2019 Ford Edge is getting a Mid Cycle Adjustment. They are tweaking the aesthetics of the outside, but the technology is really where this vehicle shines. It features STANDARD CoPilot360, which can help you lesson the severity or even avoid a collision! The new 19 Edge also has the new B&O Play audio system which is incredible!

Wife has an 2013 Edge Sport... I hate the thing, feels like your sitting on the seats and not in them, kind of like riding a chuck wagon, the new ST peaked my interest for a moment until I saw how badly programmed the transmission is in sport mode, 2nd and 3rd gear on the 8 speed are so close to each other they are a waste of time and it had the same issue of feeling like you are on not in the seat. Fit and finish of the interior is lackluster at best, bad materials, poorly fitting trim pieces etc.
Deal breaker for me is the stupid wipers.. will not own a car with those... so Explorer ST had better not let me down
Edge best in class? No sorry not even close

No sir! Ford doesn’t know about this video until after it goes public on YouTube. My opinions are 100% mine.

It is a facelift and technology update. We call it a Mid-Cycle Refresh.

Should’ve kept the triangles in the front and the light strip in the back. Everything else is a nice upgrade

Ford edges are junk , don't buy one . I own my own mechanic shop and work on these peices of crap . The early ones were prone to transmission shifting problems , then later door sensor switch and brake booster failure problems in later models ......and yes I did give it a thumbs down ..... another fail from Ford.

Oh, further comment...all this technology is really amazing, but is it going to make us dependent on gadgets. I've been driving since the time we only had brakes and our feet to get us stopped, manual transmissions, and much later directional lights and automatic transmissions, dimmer switches on the floor and only AM radios. We did just fine staying our lanes, stopping in time (or at least I did) and letting people which direction we were going. Alas, I'm just an old dude who enjoyed driving (actually driving and not just guiding the car) and not being distracted by cell phones. Strange isn't it, but I can read a map and highway signs. I've driven to Canada, Alaska, Florida and California and never managed to get lost. Automobiles/trucks/sports cars are much better and more comfortable to be sure, but as for driving (steering/braking/shifting) experience has not advanced other than road feel(?). Oh, well, it's the 21st Century for better or worse. I've lived in two millenniums, two centuries, and seven decades and have enjoyed every minute of it. Now, let's talk about boating. $70,000 for a Bass boat? To catch fish?

The Escape was, and is, such a good seller that they made the Edge look like the Escape. I like the new look. It's now more edgy. Probably gets better MPG with the new shape and 4 cylinder turbo. Some won't like the edgy look, but it's the future for Ford - and everyone else.

Had my heart set on this vehicle and was back and forth between this and the 2019 Sante Fe Limited. Price tag was basically the same at 37K... The Sante Fe won for two reasons, the 2.0 Turbo engine has way more power and we got it financed at 3% with no money down. Ford Edge has nice features also but the engine does not have enough power and we could not deal with the Finance Manager. They wanted $2500 down and $595 per month for 84 months.
The Sante Fe was $0 down and $478 per month. I will give the Ford Edge 4 Stars and the only thing I did not like was the engine. Very nice SUV but so glad I bought the Sante Fe Limited. We love it and it saved us over $10K. One last thing, the Sales manager at D and D Ford in Greer, SC SUCKS!!!!! He’s very rude and obviously did not want my business. My credit score is 810 and he gave me one offer and would not negotiate further. He should be fired immediately!!!

I owned a Ford Edge and traded it for a Mazda CX-5. The Edge had too many blind spots, tight interior for such a big vehicle, and it was a gas hog.

Not necessarily bad but I don't think the Edge was ever best in it's class other than the first 1-2 years when it kind of started the new modern looking mid size SUV in the early 2000's with the Murano. Now, the Edge is almost dated and hamstrung by less than spectacular reliability.
