Today I test the 2011 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTI EcoFlex. I give it some gas and get the revs up to let you hear what it sounds like. It is a great little car and whilst filming the video the car was still achieving +50mpg.. Astounding!

3LIT3PS3ER it's a diesel and this clever clogs doesn't realise that on these the turbo spools from 1. 5k and after 3k the turbo shuts off. Meaning no more power. If he had a brain it wouldve taken 5 minutes to figure this out and change gear at 3k like smart people

Ive just bought a 2008 1.3 diesel corsa, 3 door and it is an awesome car. The torque just tops it off really, u do not get that kind of meaty pull in a 1.2 petrol especially pulling away at the lights or anywhere really, the diesel just comes into its own. My mate has a 1.2 polo and I find it frustrating listening to the revs all the time, it has no guts unlike my diesel and economy wise, it does 60mpg. lovely first car and would highly recommend diesel over petrol haha especially if u wanna give your mates a run for their money, its got more bhp but a slower acceleration, but it is just so powerful and wholesome to drive.

@Keisha Cole True, but diesel is more efficient, I rarely need to fill my tank up

I think he might not know how to it, so he did what he could.

From my experience learning to drive in a 5 door 1.3 CDTi Life, the only problems I found were the gearing. At 30 it's a bit too fast for 3rd but too slow for 4th. That and at 70 it really needs a 6th gear to keep the revs down more, but apart from those little things I can't really fault it!

I have an 07 model. I have had mine remapped from 75bhp to 110bhp and 2.70nm torque. She really goes now and puts a smile on my face on a nice welsh back road. Doesnt hadle the best but this means you can have more fun at slower speeds. Even driving like its on fire I still get 50mpg and I have returned from Cadiz last week in it returning 67mpg at a steady 65-70mph

I have one, it's a great car but the steering is pretty vague and the engine is quite noisy.. I have the Sxi which has firmer suspension, and it is quite firm but not uncomfortable and it handles pretty sweetly :)

@MrLightBlueEyes 0-60 can be had in 11 seconds in the 1.3 cdti if shifting is correct before 4,000rpm all the torque is low down in diesels
