I will still always rather drive an old car. They’ve saved my life and I’ve driven them away half a dozen times with impacts upto 55mph. Yet my 2009 was just hit at 35mph it broke the frame and everything forward of the windshield and I have injuries.

The general consensus on this video seems to be that you do not mess up a car from the 1950s

      Liars. Cheaters. Con artists.

They rigged it so the Bel Air would fail, by using a rusty car and removing the engine and transmission. See that huge cloud of rust come out when they impact? Do you see the big engine taking any of the blow? The bel air with it's solid iron engine would have thrown that malibu out of the way like a piece of confetti in the wind if they hadn't have CHEATED.

Bel Air engine clearly absent, and frame clearly tampered with. Modern propaganda machine at work. Also destroying a rare historical automobile for propaganda. Fuck you, modern world.

Yeah I'll take my 88 solid steel truck over aluminum and plastic garbage that aint worth a fuck after 10 years. I keep the rust off my truck, and a new crate motor every 200k miles and it'll outlive any piece of shit on the road now or in the future.

I've hit a gaurd rail and bounced off it in the winter, didn't even leave a dent on my real bumper, kick it in 4x4 and got right back on the road. down the road a new little shit box hit the same gaurd rail, and looked like it was molested by a tornado.

I've been rear ended, where it tweaked and bent the mount a tiny bit on my bumper, while their entire hood looked like a taco, and the insurance just totaled it out.

Would be nice if they could create a car with all the safety measures of a modern car but the look of a classic car

although most modern cars sure are ugly compared to the classics, this shows how far Safety technology in the industry has become.
