This is the new Volkswagen Touareg! VW’s latest SUV is designed to go up against the Audi Q7 and BMW X5, but as a result it comes with a price tag to match. Starting at just under £50,000, it’s the most expensive VW on the market today! But with so much competition in the SUV market in 2019, does the Touareg offer good value for money? Join Mat for his latest in-depth review to find out!

Dude, you are co planning about the plastics on the inside of the car... that’s what keeps the cost cheaper in price than the Audi. But the motor and innards (where it counts) are about the same!

You seem cack handed to me, you exaggerate simple things, ie the parcel shelf. What's the problem with having some hard wearing plastic, most vehicles have some.
      PS your reviews stink.

Are you sure you need to go to the infotainment system to put the wipers in service position?
Doesn't the trick with switching off the engine and pushing down the wiper lever work on Touareg?

We've got one as a courtesy car for a few days. I agree about the feel inside, the plastics are cheap for a car that's supposedly worth nearly 60k and its lacking kit that comes as standard on tiguan allspace. Lovely to drive and even though the car we have is top of range, fuel economy has been good. 40/42mpg on my motorway commute to work at speed limits, our sorento only used to hey 35mpg on same journey.

Unfortunately after 6 months or so the whole sensory system that feeds the adaptive cruise control and so on has STOPPED WORKING. VW have had the car for 2 days and sent it back without a fix. Really unhappy about this. It's now been about 3 months without the adaptive cruise control and all that. Disappointed that they don't appear to have the answers or want to get in touch.

VW owns Audi and they want people to buy Audi as they are more expensive hence the reason as to why they use cheaper materials for VW cars

I‘ve got to admit it‘s a goodlooking car but if you consider it‘s in the starting price range of the Q7 it‘s not that great.
It might not have as expensive options but I‘d still take a Q5 over this.
