This has been an exciting year for new cars, and AutoGuide has gathered 5 of the best to come out for 2019 for some serious testing in the twisty, demanding roads of Southern California. The Honda Insight is a much-needed competitor to the popular Prius and Hyundai Ioniq. Nissan Altima is all new boasting maximum comfort and threatening to oust the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry from the family sedan perch. But giving the BMW 3 Series something to worry about is the 2019 Genesis G70. Meanwhile, in compact territory, the Kia Forte is here with handsome styling, a roomy interior and more features than you might expect for its affordable price point. And finally, yet another Korean contender for Car of the Year, the Hyundai Veloster N is all new and monumentally better than the previous generation. Join us for a deep discussion and debate over which car should take home the crown with the winner revealed at the end!

You should have paired the Genesis next to the BMW 3, the Acura TLX, Lexus IS and the Mercedes CLA to make it the car of the year.

Not the best video by AG. Tried to watch at 2X speed instead, but still found it kinda babbling on and on.

I don't really see these as flagships for their segments, JMO. None of them are cars I would even consider. This seems to be the battle of the "generic".

While you guys were looking at cars, I was paying attention to Jodi. She looked HOT in her leather jacket. The heck with the boring cars.

BG's House should really stop with the appalling acting. It is really cringe-worthy. Just be informative. It stops me from subscribing. Actually, I did and then un-subbed.

i wouldn't buy any of these cars. they just don't have the comfort of other cars on the market. they just don't let the driver relax and really enjoy the experience of driving the car.

I believe the Genesis also won Motor Trend’s Car Of The Year and North American Car Of The Year (Voted by North American auto industry experts). And Genesis/Hyundai/Kia also did a podium sweep on J D Powers rankings. And the IIHS’s Top Safety + ratings is chock full of Genesis/Hyundai/Kia products. Whether its semi conductors, electronics, smart phones, cars, super ships, etc the Koreans are at the top of the food chain. Even Apple buys all their important parts from their top competitor Samsung, LG, and Hynix (All Korean companies). And have been for some 11+ yrs. Absolutely amazing for a small country of 50 million which was poor and devastated by war some 50 years ago. I’m a 20+ yr MB/BMW owner with 2 V6 E classes still in my garage. With decently equipped 2019 C class 4 bangers and 330i 4 bangers costing over $50K-55K US, I don’t see myself buying overpriced and often unreliable MB/BMWs anymore.

No question that the G70 is the best product Hyundai has ever produced. But I'm still not ready to cast the Germans aside because of it. I have a counter argument for your 'I feel like they're trying extra hard" comment. Sometimes when someone is trying too hard, you need to take a step back and ask yourself why. Is it because they feel inferior and know they have to go the extra mile? Maybe one day when Hyundai feels confident enough to act like the Germans, I'll feel like I'm not being wooed. Just sold a solid product by a company that doesn't take a back seat to anyone. Until then...

Do these guys now anything? The performance package on the Veloster N also adds electronically controlled limited slip differential, adjustable dampers, bigger brakes, lightweight 19" rims and dedicated Pirelli P Zero tires.
      Not bad for $2100 !!!
