The diesels are so damn finicky. Got to wind them up, get the RPMs right, then maybe they will pull. Ridiculous

I always tend to love the pro stock class better than Modified anyway. It's when you see the real Ford difference against Chevy and Dodge.

5.9 is a beast! I don't care what anyone throws at it. They'll pull the hell out of that sled and be ready for work the next week pulling a gooseneck. In all honesty if it was not for Cummins I think they would have disappeared as a light to medium duty truck.

+Garret Monnet Hi Garret! These pulls are all from United Truck & Tractor Pullers events. I just checked their website (http://unitedpullers.net/), and they haven't posted this year's schedule yet--they still list last seasons events. They normally start around June, and wrap up the season around September. Pulls are in Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Wyoming. Usually on a Saturday afternoon/evening. They're a lot of fun!!

Can someone tell me what the hell happened to the guy running up to the truck at the end of it's pull at the 8:29 mark? He was just jogging up towards the truck and he just suddenly grabs his head and looks to drop towards the ground like he ran into or got hit by something, then it cuts to the next pull. Black baseball cap, black t-shirt, camo cargo shorts.

Phil Reses In reply to Phil Reses

Thanks! I thought it could've been dirt from the truck flying at him but I just wanted to make sure!

    • ArtTrucks
ArtTrucks In reply to Phil Reses

+Philip Reses Whoa, great eyes! It's a little hard to tell whats happening, but the truck had stopped moving forward and had begun digging down into the ground as its tires spun. This caused mud/dust/dirt to be thrown backwards. Looks like the black t-shirt guy is running towards the truck and gets hit in the face by some flying dirt.

As for Diesels if you are not spot on on the peddle they tend to die easy it's not as flammable as a Gas Motor and will die real easy. When they cut out you hear a distinctive sound like a poot shut down

Once the truck moves the Sled driver pushes the weight its all even and timed from the moment you start to move.So it's even for all the Trucks.

    • Dark Coven
Dark Coven In reply to JonathanDoors

If you stop the sled does not hard to pull once you lose momentum. Sled driver runs the weigh not the truck sometimes guys get off line and tend to try to correct which messes the pull up and makes them a sitting duck.

great videos! I get bored at work and am in a noisy machine shop so I love to watch these types of videos. By any chance do you know if anyone does sled pulls with atv's or utv's with a smaller sled ? Guys are putting turbochargers on them these days. I think it would be cool to watch. It would also make it adorable for us poorer folks to get in on the sport. I'd love to try that with my Polaris sportsmen. Thanks.
