Hey friends, I'm pretty much 99 percent wanting to get a tundra in the future. Every time I see one, it's calling my name lol. The one thing that concerns me and I've seen no one comment on is the safety ratings. The Tundra 2016-2019 has the lowest safety ratings. Any comments on that? Interestingly I'm wanting to get the 2015. Will post on other videos, wanting to a quick response

Best truck on the market! Really any truck is great but I believe the Tundra is superior. Not just opinion but numbers don’t lie. Best resale by a mile of any other truck. I like the Titan and F150 as well, but quality of the Tundra kills it. Only two things I wish the Tundra did and had. Better MPG, and Locking Rear. Why they didn’t put a Locking Rear on the Off Road version baffles me. Still a capable Truck, just missing that 1 key element.

I’ve owned 3 Ford trucks. Two brand new. I can tell you confidently you did the right thing / made the right choice. My last F-150 and current one are both very unreliable and had and has lots of problems. I personally don’t look at the “best selling truck” anymore. McDonalds sells the most hamburgers, that doesn’t mean its the highest quality or the best for you... everything you said was 100% correct.
Do your maintenance early, take really good care of it and I think will last you a very long time. I regret not buying a Tundra first. The nice thing about the Tundra is that a simple technology and engine and it’s been the same thing for 12 years... it works. Owners are happy. DON’T CHANGE IT.

RELIABILTY is king. You see a Ford or any other imports like Chevy or Ram you never know what is truly going down the road. Like he says there are so many options on these so called American trucks that no 2 are the same. I will never buy a Detroit product.

For me, I like Ford because it feels more carlike. More nimble. The gas tank capacity is basically the same 144 L and 136 L. Same console shifter. I hate the column shifters in GM. What I see the big difference is the MpG in city. 13 for Tundra and 5L v8 in Ford can get to 19
Also, Tundra is outdated. No apple car play, android. Inside looks bland. The same engine forever, Backseat room is the best in one touches them. Towing..Tundra is crap. Payload too. Also, Toyota never offers employee pricing ( as much off as Ford)or 0% financing. They are stingy.

      I think you made a good choice. I bought a 2018 f150 xlt. And while i thonk its a good truck , i favor my 2012-2014. So next year i will be trading my 18 f150 for a 2014 f150.

My 2008 ram hemi is more efficient than the 18 tundra. The used Tundra dont selll for anymore than an american truck here i. Austin, tx. What did u think of the new Ram? That interior package looks more like a lariat than the xlt you were looking at. I bought a 2wd f150 2018 supercab. Midlevel xlt. $28500. Ive noticed rebates are 1500 better now than in jun 18 when i bought.

I do prefer the toy 5.7 over the 5.0. But i favor the 2.7 or 3.5 eco. Tundra transmission doesnt compare to ford 6 speed. 10 speed ford tranny sucks.(2018+).

I like those seats. Tundra still best looking half ton. Keep in mind f150 xlt rebate is typically 3500 to 5k more than any toy rebate when your figuring off sticker.

I bought a 2016 tundra crewmax sr5 with the trd 4x4 package with the 38 gallon tank for 40,900 out the door and I googled say I love my truck!!! My father in law went with a f150 and within a couple months regrets it because going off road, he would bottom out the front or hit the back bumper because of the length of the truck!!! I told him to stick with what we know but he wanted a gas saver so now he’s pissed! Lol
