Simple; New truck = leveling kit. Older truck; lift the hell out of it all you want because at that point, who cares.

If it’s “real easy” to adjust your headlights, then why hasn’t he done it to his own truck? Bright lights in your face sucks

Looking to purchase a 2020 RAM Limited soon.  My first truck! I did not know the difference between leveling and lifting kits until now.  Thank You! I prefer the leveling kit simply because I want the ability to park in my garage. Can I place 35in tires on the factory rims on the Ram Limited? Again, thanks

When you do 2.5 inch lift
What about rear ? Did you do anything?

The truck stock is lower to the ground slightly in the front. The leveling kit is to make the truck level instead of leaning. Nothing is done to the rear as far as I know because you are only leveling it out.

Thanks for mentioning the stupidity of lifting or leveling without adjusting the headlights back down where they belong.

      2 questions
      1. exactly what is the width of the tires on the leveled truck?
      2. when you put 35s on it can you go into the computer and set the speedometer?

You'll need a tuner to set the tire size, or the dealer may be able to do it for you.

Definitely leveling kit to not sacrifice handling, f150s handle pretty darn well even my 2002 5.4 super crew on 20s and big tire ,I travel from Tucson to Vegas all the time it grips good on the curves on the way o get to town I still make a pull never fails very solid trucks💪

Should I get an alignment right after installing a level kit on my truck?

Anytime you mess around with suspensions or tires, it's best to always get a wheel alignment afterwards. Usually your local mechanic would do it for cheap and sometimes for free.

He's absolutely correct about the headlight situation as far as the leveling kit. I put a lift / leveling kit on my 2008 Ford Expedition and fitted it with 34 inch tires. I constantly get oncoming traffic at night flashing their high beams at me because they think I'm running mine. In reality, my low beams are just hitting them straight in the face. I never bothered to adjust my headlights after installing the kit and tires. I really don't think it's creating an unsafe situation regarding the headlight angle.

I had a 2" leveling kit installed on my 2018 F-150 ,fx4. Now I'd kinda like a 1" lift on the rear. What all does that involve having done?
