Easily the most talked about car over the past 3 years, #Tesla has gone through blood, sweat, and tears to ramp up production and deliver the most important electric car of their short company history. With a starting price of $35,000 and an all-electric range of 220 miles, the 2018 Tesla #Model3 delivers on the EV experience but without the frumpy image of its competitors. The $64,000 #Performance version has twice the power, twice the performance, twice the motors, and nearly twice the range and Tesla claims it will outperform the benchmark BMW M3 on the track without sacrifices any of the thrills. While the internal combustion engine will continue to live on, Tesla certainly proves that a car of the future is already being built today.

Hey guys, wanted to address a few comments from the video. We finally found the auto park function in the car, apparently two Tesla store delivery specialists were wrong and told us the Model 3's do not come with auto park. Also... we get free supercharging for life with the Performance trim. If you buy the lower versions, it is pay per use supercharging which usually ends up being less then $10 bucks to get a full charge.

If it cost up to $10 to use the supercharger is it really any less to operate than say a honda civic?

No more free supercharging for life, as far as I know 🥺. Heard it was incredibly expensive for Tesla to offer it. Still a lot less expensive than gas/diesel though.

The delivery experience has changed radically. Some kid drove it over from their receiving area about 45 minutes away. We had the Tesla app and registered the VIN number so we could see his progress in our car via our cell phone. We signed all the paperwork on the kitchen table and he stayed as long as we had questions then called an Uber and he was gone (about 1.5 hours). That's it - FANTASTIC. No greasy car salesmen who constantly had to check with his manager to see if there was still another way to screw the customer out of more money (we shopped and paid for the car over the internet).

Its crazy how many Americans hate this American company. It's just proves the stereotype that we are closed minded, selfish snobs who think we know best. It's still 1950 in most eyes lol.

My main criticism having looked at one in person is the lack of some of the physical controls. I think putting them on the screen is generally ok until you get to things like wiper controls and then it is silly. Wipers, lights and cruise should be on physical controls. The weird thing with this car is that they have a column stalk on the left side and you can do a one time wiper sweep with a button on the end but they chose not to include wiper controls on it and they could have.

I do like them though and may end up with a Tesla for my next car in a few years.

Cars that have so much tech and computers to run it all are some of the most unreliable ones out there. I’d never own a new car. Too much useless tech that I’d have to pay for that I’d never use. Android auto and apple CarPlay would’ve been nice. Sucks you have to pay for 4g lte on top of your own phone plan lol defeats the purpose.

The wood that you mention , I went to a Tesla center at the mall and they had a model 3. I seen the wood and it felt like plastic. So I didn’t just assume I asked the worker and he confirmed it was fake. And im surprised you didn’t get mad the interior isn’t stitched on the dash and doors considering to me the dash feels a bit hard for the price but it is a soft touch material. But I think the interior upgrade on this car is kind of a scam especially considering the Chrysler 200,300 comes with real wood trim.

Lol this car is fucking trash. Tesla isn’t “different” they’re just garbage ass cars. The fact that they’re EV’s is dope but interior and styling is trash. This doesn’t compare to high end cars like BMW or Benz. Their “luxury” is lower than Acura’s. Audi just made their first EV truck and once BMW and Benz really try to make their EV’s its over for Tesla.
