Hardly any noise. It's much quieter than the deisels. I hate those loud diesel trucks. They sound like LOUD FARTS going up and down our streets. I hope more of these electric trucks will be replacing ALL deisels. I hate diesel trucks, car, construction equipments.....

I hate electric, why can't we just start growing corn and plants etc for ethanol and biodiesel. Can't beat the internal combustion engine. Screw electric, I'll take biofuels!!! Who's with me?

+Michael Jacobi it won't be banned, and if it is, I'll still use it. I'll pull off a coup de ta then, because I will use combustable fuel till I die. How about we ban electric for destroying whole ecosystems mining for lithium.

+Michael Jacobi ok whatever, but I'm 16 about to be 17 so no I don't have any ties to biofuels lmao. I love internal combustion engines though. How about this, you drive your electric vehicle, I'll drive my ICE one. Have a good one.

Actually, i take that back. Total weight was around 80,000. They still weren't saying how much weight the batteries made up vs. payload. But there's no engine so you lose that weight. Still a lot of questions surrounding electric Class 8.

Same as typical Cascadia Class 8. This one was fully loaded up just below 80,000 lbs., if I recall correctly.

+hesings_hesobs bingo .. independent truckers will buy the brands they know, brand loyalty is very strong among them, they love their trucks. Trucking companies will buy what cost the least to operate .. and there is nothing that Tesla can do that any other major Truck OEM can't do also. Tesla's penetration in this market will be difficult, more of a marketing stunt for Tesla and some customers, IMO.

They already have the good will of the trucking industry on their side. Tesla just has California on their side. I hope Freightliner can do it .
