The TL is a nice upscale sedan but since its 2009 redesign, it no longer stands out from the crowd. For 2012, the styling is slightly tweaked and the transmission got another gear.

"There you go again.." CR Pretending to understand what enthusiasts want by commenting about steering feel. Go back to your reliability ratings CR, that's all you guys are good for.

This reviewer and review is short-sighted. The reviewer claims it doesn't offer much more than an Accord. He must of have looked at it with dysfunctional eyes......TL's offer more than any competition in their class period. Too bad he is soooo jaded for reason(s) only known to him. Consumer Reports knows better. Please see reviews by Motor Week, Red Line, or KELLY BLUE BOOK for an unbiased review!!!

Only reason to buy the TL over the loaded V6 Honda Accord which the article does not mention? No AWD. You have to buy the Honda Accord Crosstour to get that - and that car is not the same as the standard V6 Accord.

Does it have good stearing feel? Also, do you find that the steering is too light?

This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. I got my 2012 Adv package 4 weeks ago with 14,000 miles on it. I am loving this car. Is super fast and I honestly don't envy any other car at its price range..

Acura went toooo far on the design, this should have been 2020, they should have saved it

EXACTLY..people who say the only difference is the badge are annoying. The accord is a very nice car but not as quiet, powerful, big, high tech and/or solid. Its like saying an IS250 is the same as a Toyota Corolla.

The buttons is what makes the car user friendly...if we would stop complaining about them and actually just read them we will find that it isn't that daunting of a setup as we thought. The "overabundance" of buttons is what makes the car work well and provides a smother, more accurate experience as far as controls go. Try driving the BMW 335i, no buttons but jut to back up you have to press three buttons. LOVE THE ACURA TL INTERIOR

It is high time Honda/Acura moved away from elbow hinges holding up the trunk lid. They take up too much space, especially now with those built in tunnels to hide the hinge and protect objects in the trunk from being crushed. Much better are struts that hold up the trunk. they are out of the way and hold up the trunk much higher avoiding collisions with one's head.

Accord doesn't have SH-AWD either. And 300+ hp. And more torque. And... ok, I will stop now. Accords are nice in their segment, but this is a different class of vehicle! Of course it offers more.

i disagree with the touch screen comment.I much prefer the feel of actual buttons that allow me to to change setting without having to take my eyes off the road.touch screens are fine if you are the starship enterprise, but here on earth, buttons rule the center console

My gf had a 2012 loaner for a week while her 07 Type S was getting painted. This car is great. I have an 07 Type S as well (vid of it on my page) but this car is really great though. The stereo and nav info is just amazing. The power is awesome too. I love the way Acura made the front grille more flush and slick on the 2012 models.

I do too... I have an '07 Type S and its awesome. It's slightly more of a rougher edge to the luxury which is great. I have a vid of it if you click my name, you'll see.

@duleym yea looks better, but you dont buy a car just bc it looks good. do you?

a loaded Accord V6 with navigation is a better choice i think, but not comparing with the TL but the TSX

Guy says he'd prefer a touch screen, and that all functions are done through the control knob. The can be done that way, but he overlooked the voice command. All functions can be done through voice, and I would much prefer that to a system that forces me to look away from the road, and then keep looking away while I reach over to find the spot to touch on the screen.

Yes this looks better but it is still ugly. This is not a car you would like to look out your window and see everyday. With so many choices for the money, I wouldn't waiste mine on this, and it's ashame, I used to have a 06 TL and I only drive hondas, but this is awful!
