A stock gtr has a 1/4 mile time of mid 11 so clearly that person cannot drive the car to it's potential, not to mention if you put any amount of money into it, which I'm sure the Cummins had, it would destroy it

Yeah please show me a video of a diesel truck that can beat these trucks.... the smoke means the truck was tuned specifically for dragging or pulling, what it does is allows excess amounts of fuel to burn off so the trucks injectors and ICMs hpops ect can keep up with the turbo and intakes output.... please show me a video.... white or grey smoke is very bad for a diesel it means the diesel has blow by.

+SuperNiceguy60  These motors in the video have been 'safe' tuned. meaning the excess fuel prevents them overheating, largely due to the fact diesel engines naturally run a lot hotter than petrol ones.

wtf? after seeing this video i am shocked i mean everyone in my country says Gasoline is more explossive and can make a car go fast and diesel  is meant to put out more torque at lower rpm´s  therefore diesel cars are suposses to be slower than gasoline cars but still have more torque at lower rpm´s but in this video i see these monstruous diesel trucks beat every single gasoline car  i mean can diesel give you so much power and speed i am not exactly an engineer  i wish some of you could explain me how the fuck yo can make a diesel engine car go so fast and put out so much hp i mean i own a 2012 ford fusion and my daily beater is  a 1987 3sgte camry with 280 hp but i am pretty sure one of these trucks would kick my ass in  a 1/4 mile   after seeing this video and if  diesel is better than gasoline  i think my next car will be a  turbodiesel but first please explain me how can you use the lower rpm torque of diesel beat  gasoline cars.

    • Ross Lindsay
Ross Lindsay In reply to Carlos Llerena

Carlos Llerena diesel actually has alot more combustion power once its compressed, thats why diesels dont have sprark plugs and petrol will only ignite with spark. Also explains why the engine is much heavier, low rpm and high torque. modern technology has allowed for better transmissions so all this torque instead of hp can be tamed to be put down and without constant 4wd even down a tarmac it that wouldnt be possible

The diesel cars are prolly like 2-3 liters. These are also modified a bit lol obvisouly injectors and turbos in all of them considering the amount of smoke. They couldn't make that much with stock injectors.
