In a step-by-step process I take a 5-door station-wagon SUV (Toyota Land Cruiser VDJ76) and turn it into a overland touring vehicle/truck. And while I do so share the principles I use. This is part-1.

Excellent video (as usual)! I’m glad I have the totally beautiful and great working overkill ARB Twin Compressor for my 4Runner. Every time Mr. 4x4 St. Pierre White says something is not absolutely necessary, I go get it... :)

All of that extra will cost an arm and a leg.
Add alot of weight to your vehicle and gas mileage will drop.
If you don't off road every day it's just not worth it.
If you just add all the hardware mention and city drive then you lost your damn mind.

Andrew, love your channel...and especially love the 70 Series LandCruisers. I really wish they offered them here in the US, but unfortunately...we are stuck with crap Wranglers that last a few months and 200 series LandCruisers that are almost out of any ones reach in terms of financially. Keep up the good work on the videos!

I don't think the arb "side steps" are rock sliders. There is a big difference.

@Stephen Desics hahaha no welding allowed down here mate! I agree though I'd feel a lot safer with them welded on!

Great detail, Andrew. Especially appreciate how you logically explain the pros and cons of items that are in the same category.

So you rather kill kangaroos than damage your vehicle......

They run into the front of cars. It's what they do. Bars prevent damage. They're still dead.

Off road vehicles it’s to much money. And it’s mostly for old or sedentary people 👨🏽‍🦳.

Me and my friend can have even more fun on MTB and camping, it’s not about the ride.

Hey Andrew. Love your vids. I have a question regarding snowmaster fridge/freezor. Is the dual zone, I.e one compartment with freezor something you use often. I suppose when your on the road for so long it would indeed come in handy. Did your client ask for this?
