That's great but they must have forgotten the fact that Audi Q7 owners will never drive it even close to that, maybe in the snow in Gstaad/Courchevel but that's about it.

Audi is a far better vehicle in build quality and off road capabilities than Mercedes 4 matic, BMW X drive (what a joke) Range Rover (expensive British junk) and any other 4 X 4 you can think of, anyone that has watched the videos and still disagrees obviously doesn't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to quality and capability.

Ghost01 - Subaru uses the system the Audi's were using in the 80's. it's a good system, that's why they still use it ;)

Most people who recommend two wheel drive or other awd systems for road cars have never driven a quattro system. When you have driven all available systems without bias, then you are qualified to comment.

You're right, most people will never do this. At least not on purpose. But in case of an emergency, some natural disaster or whatever, it's good to know you have a car capable of doing these things.

It says nothing on off-road capabilities wether a car can drive on this concrete stuff. Get the Q7 on a real off-road track and you will see that it is too low, heavy and the axle travel isn't enough.

    • Francis Grabetz
Francis Grabetz In reply to TimTube

The q7 isn't an off road machine. They are demonstrating its ability to transfer power to keep the car moving forward.

+orangegreenify for the segment is actually light, this "concrete stuff" does technically tell about center of gravity for example, there is height adjustment suspension available, etc
