GMC Yukon and the Chevrolet and Cadillac cousins are well known for working very hard and going the distance.
The LS series engine is bulletproof IF properly maintained, there are literally thousands of these engines at the various tracks around the world.
Luxury vehicles do depreciate fast across the board, it is what it is.
The big GM's are usually bought to bring family and tow boat or trailer etc.
I do enjoy buying them around 100K and letting them go around 220K to 250K.
I've only had to do wear items that would occur in most any vehicle. I've been lucky I suppose.
I'm one of many who make full use of the depreciation for a reasonably priced large powerful vehicle.
My Akita loves second row captains chairs for mobility as well.
Bottom line whatever your tastes are, fast depreciation does not necessarily mean poor vehicle.
In the spring I'm on the hunt again lol

Many brands discount little, and if you’ve paid to close to MSRP you will suffer more when sell or trade. Other brands discount heavy and this plays an important part during reselling.

There are other factors to this video to consider. I mean, just read a report that new and used cars in the states are over-priced and extremely under-valued with trade-in. Plus, everyone is buying on credit. If you try to sell your car to private-purchase, no one has the cash of over $3K ( 2019 ). I had a car that was low mileage and great condition. Blue book was $7K... no one made me an offer in one whole year with 3 different internet adverts. Why? no one has cash. I just read another report that the average household savings is less than $1,000 cash on hand. I am just trying to point out facts that directly affect all makes and models of cars and their resale value. So, when factoring losses, consider 1- the state of the economy. 2- the history of the resale value each year. 3- the price history of the model each year for new and used. 4- the states economy relative to the other states. 5- the mileage and repair history of the model. 6- the things you want in a car, ie; luxury verus just a long lasting engine, etc. Plus, the used and new car networks ( carguru, carfax Kelly blue Book and the Banks that give consumer loans ) are the ones supplying these values which are in their favor and do not generate the values based on consumers randomly. In short the game is fixed. Plus, when thinking about resale value, it give the false impression that a car purchase is an asset. It will never be considered a assets by and financial institution, like a home purchase. Plus, you will never know when a used or new car part will give out and not function, it is a roll of the dice. The only real value that one gets from cars is it's brand impression. I drove a Nissan and no one said and thing and looked twice at me. I had a date ( hot female make fun of be ). I drove a BMW Z4 convertible and I look men and women saying, " cool car" at stop lights. I had co-workers ask me how I could afford a BMW, and so on, but they did not know it was used. Plus, people get attached to cars and give them names. just saying....

I'd like to see you review the mitsubishi mirage 5 spd manual car. I love mine and it doesn't seem to have the problem that you complain about in your other 2 videos with the lack of power. I keep up with traffic and most of the time pass much of traffic, I have to downshift to third and wind it close to 6 grand to get by in a quick timely manner(passing on a 2 lane) but other than that no problems. I believe the 5 spd has much lower gearing than the automatic.
