Every Two Years and on a different location, there´s the biggest celebration of European HillClimb Racing with the FIA HillClimb Masters and with it a very large number of the greatest Monsters in the sport is gathered to battle for victory. This year , the event was held in Gubbio, Italy in its beautiful local HillClimb.

In the end these were the 10 fastest Monsters of the weekend, with some potential winners not being able to finish the event and some missing out very narrowly. But those surely will have their place on our Channel in th near future too. For now, let´s watch those who placed among the very Top against some of the most fierce competition any event this year could have.

      +M3 Pilot - Steve Smart No, it's a 4.4 V8...In 1992, Bmw engines M60 (3.0 and 4.0) were the first V8 Bmw ever. In 1996 Bmw replaced M60 with M62 (3.5, 4.4, 4.6, 4.8). There is also a 4.0 V8 about 500hp used in hill climb prototypes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j1hCsQvSoM Bmw acquired Rover group in 2000, but there were voices about their collaboration started earlier. Anyway, in 1989, Rover naturally aspired 4.0 was capable of over 400hp, purchased in Tvr tuscan Challenge, and it's known as a really reliable engine. In early 90s, the engine was raised to 4.5 and over 530hp. Now they call it Jaguar V8, is supercharged instead of turbocharged Bmw and they have really similar specs and sounds.

      I think GT3 cars are out of place here, too wide and too heavy, too common. Real hill climbers are heavily modified sports cars like that Lancer Evo VIII with the massive wing and that ultra light Fiat / Alfa Romeo or the engine swapped Merc. The TTR DTM feels way more in its natural environment than any GT3 car, same hp but way lighter and not as wide.

      +d3at45tr0k3 Relax, they are not my precious Evo's, I wish. I just think GT3 cars are out of place here , yes the Evo's are about the same weight but much more custom built and nimble than the wide body GT3 cars. The MERC is wide too, but again custom built and about 400kg lighter with even more hp. I mean, it's just a personal opinion, it's one thing to put a unmodified GT3 on a hill climbing course, it's another to breathe the hill climbing racestyle (which I think is a very distinct race division, with typical cars) and customize your vision of a hill climb monster into a real world racer, with the essence of hill climb racing kept close to the heart as the core of the car : very high hp/weight ratio, nimble manouvreibility and lightweight, or at least 2 out of 3. A GT3 is not nimble, it's wide. A GT3 is pretty high performance power to weight but still not enough to my opinion and it sure is not lightweight. It's also a standard race car, not a build. I know it may be an odd way of thinking this way, but I think some territories of racing should be kept away from another. GT3 cars are specifically for the traditional race tracks for endurance racing and I don't see any hill climbing monsters interfere their tracks. It's a very personal mindset, I understand people prefer the diversity of the grid in hill climbing and love a GT3 car to race the hill, I just don't feel anything for it. It lacks personality, creativity and extremity (not a word I know). Not like a proper hill climbing monster anyway. I respect your opinion, please appreciate mine too. I can't explain myself more than this.

      Too heavy? What are talking about? Almost every car (including your precious Evo's) weight around 1100-1200 kg. And also they don't race at shopping mall corridor. They're not too wide
