I'll say it again no truck is worth 55k people paying that amount is the problem. Dealerships make a killing just look at their multi million dollar building.

I'm struggling to understand why Toyota would market this as their top feuxoff-roader but not even offer a locking rear differential. I believe that option is available on everything the competition makes, often including even base models.

Just bought a 2019 Tundra after putting 405,000 miles on a 05 Tacoma. I'll stick to proven reliability over bells & whistles.

Shocked they didn’t put a locker in it. Coming from a TRD Off Road Tacoma that is a big deal to me.

I almost bought a 19 trd pro but after driving it I realized that a lot of the extras on my 18 trd offroad limited I would lose on the pro. The adjusting headlights was standard on my offroad. The only thing I would gain would be the hood scoop, the grille, the fox shocks, the dual exhaust and the moon roof. I would rather have the heated seats, the parking sensors, the blind spot monitoring, among others.

I have a small Nissan Frontier. I haul 1 ton, 2,000 lbs, of coal a couple times each year. I barely know it's in the back....has rear disc brakes unlike the Tacoma.

Should not call it a PRO if it doesn't come with the rear locking differential. Pro at what?

I really like Toyota, been a fan for years and I've owned a few trucks and sedans but i'm bored with it. I'm sure its a great truck but sad to say, its so beige and BORING!

Toyota may be reliable but that's no excuse to be stuck in the 90's. The inside of the truck is so ugly, outdated, bloated and completely boring. It's extremely overpriced and had so few features, its a joke. The head unit looks like something made by Fischer Price.. Sad to say, i'll never buy one. The only thing I wish is that the Dodge Ram had the reliability of Toyota. The difference between the tundra and the ram is night and day. Toyota is stuck on BORING and it breaks my heart because I can't see myself buying a domestic brand but I am seriously considering the 2500 with the Cummins.

You mentioned all the stuff Toyota doesn't have in their massively overpriced truck and then you try to justify it with things that most trucks have standard or things that don't matter. Wheels, LED headlights and a bed cover are not awesome features and they sure as hell are not enough to justify everything that its missing. No memory seats? Lexus has memory seats why would it be so hard to bring that over? No remote start? WHY!? Why can't we get a radio that looks like something designed AFTER the millennium scare?

I'm seriously so disappointed with Toyota. They act like these trucks will spend all their life off road when the reality is that these will be daily driven on the road in average conditions, you just don't get the luxuries ALL THE OTHER BRANDS ARE OFFERING! I use to wonder who buys a $60k GMC Denali and now I know, its people who are plain bored with Toyota. No one keeps their cars that long these days, no one cares that your boring ass truck will be reliable for 100 years..

Please Toyota put back those driver side grab handles back in. Some with bad knees need it. Not a fan of grabbing the steering wheel.
Otherwise not a bad truck. All Toyota vehicles I've owned started everyday on the first try until I sold it usually past 300k miles point. No transmission or engine issues. Nada, zilch and zero.
A boring, no drama reliable truck. On their new model for 2021 I hope they throw down the gauntlet and just incorporate some form of it's Lexus hybrid system where it'll travel around town for 25 miles then increase fuel mpg to 25 at least.
If any company has the ability to bring all the technological know-how together into vehicle it's Toyota.
      Great review.

I currently own a Tundra dbl cab sr5..4.7 motor.Bought it with 89k miles and now has 285k .Problems I've had are air valves went out left and right sides a month apart, but Toyota customer care took care of it all i did was pay for labor which wasn't much. Alternator went out acpl months after that they also took care of that for me. With regular maintenance I've had no other issues. I've even towed my friends Jflight trailer groom Portland Oregon to Modesto Cali once...NO ISSUES!
Yes i know somebody's going to say why a 4.7 and no 4x4 lol. It was whar i could afford and now I'm currently looking into the crew cab Pro or Platinum.

Nice exterior, but that interior and technology is just flat out dated. Ram definitely set the benchmark with their 2019. Ford's 2021 F-150 and I'm sure Toyota's next gen Tundra will be even better.
