This is a demonstration of the Mobileye Collision Avoidance System being used in a 2016 Winnebago ERA 70A. The Mobileye Collision Avoidance System was founded in 1999. It was first used by Volvo, GM, BMW, Cadillac, Ford, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and many other car manufacturers. It has now reached the RV industry. Winnebago is one of the first to integrate this safety feature into their product line. The Mobileye product is featured here in the Winnebago ERA 70A but offered in many other models in the Winnebago product line. A few of the top features are: Pedestrian Collision Warning, Lane Departure, Forward Collision Warning & Speed Limit Indication. I do Not like this. It dose Not actually do anything but make noises when something is happening. IF I am driving and someone steps out in front of my car The thing beeps or chimes with a red flash which would take my eyes off the road to look at it & I might hit the person. I DO like the lane drifting, But not the rest.. Just Me, Just being honest...

You could choose to make sure you look forward when the alarm sounds rather than at the device. It's been shown that cars with forward collision warning reduce accidents but quite a lot so systems like this are effective.

It has no blind spot monitoring? Seems that would be the more critical issue

+karunald Hello Karunald, Seems you are not receiving the correct information and here at Colonial we know this product very well enough to tell you exactly what functions can be ordered. Please kindly note:- All newly built sprinters, by Winnebago do offer the new Mobile Eye Forward Collision and Lane Assist. This is 100% true.- The Mobile-Eye system works exactly as you see in this video and while the Reyos/Vias do offer cameras on the exterior mirrors the ERA and Navion/View models do not. Please note the side camera that is built in to the external mirrors works differently than the new high tech cars that have sensors built in to the bumpers.  Anyway if you are in the market and have further questions please kindly feel free to give us a call and we will be glad to assist you.

Hello +Karunald, All of the Sprinters by Winnebago now come with this new system for forward collision and lane assist. However they do not offer blind spot monitoring where you are warned by a signal in your side mirror, etc.  The reason that Winnebago chose this systems is because the majority of accidents on the roads today are forward collisions.  If you are considering to purchase a Navion please note we currently have (8) Navions in stock and we can add the MOBILE eye system if you would it to be added.  Thank you again for commenting and also for your further interest in Sprinters that we stock here at Colonial! Enjoy your day..

Wow - Which sprinters have blind spot monitoring from the factory?   I've never heard this before!   I was considering a View/Navion and they have nothing like that.
