I find sport+ to have way better acceleration and use whenever I need to pull out quickly. I leave the car in sport mode by default. The Manual indicates

Sport+: Adds to Sport to allow for increased performance by enhancing throttle response and changing the shift map.

Sport: Enhances vehicle response feel through decreased steering assist and heightened throttle response

No, Mine is fine and doesn't seem loose. I have read others in the Acura forums mention this though. You might want to check that thread out. https://acurazine.com/forums/third-generation-rdx-2019-454/front-seats-loose-saggy-perforated-area-975794/

Is there a power folding side mirrors? I heard the Canada versions have them. That's what I hate about Japanese cars, They always do stupid things like that. What's so hard to just make all the features available in all territories? And why can't we get whatever package we want? For example I can't get aspect with advance SMH. I want tech+Aspec+advance. Oh well. I'll wait until next year to see if there's any luck.

The US advance also does not have the headlight washer.

The US version does not have power folder mirrors. I also would of wanted the tech+aspec+advance.

I have the 2nd generation RDX and the bluetooth in it has a delay between voice and video. It doesn't sync up. Not sure if it's just me or if it's on that model year (2013). Do you have this issue with this model?

I don't watch video using the car Bluetooth but I believe most Bluetooth devices will have a delay when watching video.

Does the HUD uses the car navigation system or Apple maps.

Thanks for the info. I bought the a spec and I was regretting not getting the advanced because of the HUD feature and 360 surround camera. I use Apple maps for navigation. I make the right choice because I really like how the a spec looks. Thanks for your answer

The HUD only works with the car's navigation system. Apple Maps directions do NOT display in the HUD.

Putting the car in Sport+ mode will disable the ever so annoying automatic engine shut off

Yes, but as with the engine shut off, you need to do this each time you drive the car. It doesn’t stay in sport+

I would love to be on a focus group for this vehicle! Track pad sucks, tilt and telescoping wheel mechanism sucks and I still haven’t figured out how to get to an AM station! But...the vehicle is still pretty awesome!

I also wish they pushed the screen forward and turned it into a touch screen but at least the track pad isn’t nearly as bad as what Lexus did

i agree, there are a few things they should of done differently, but it is still a great vehicle.

That's my plan too. I'm really irritated that Acura did that. Just because I like sporty doesn't mean I don't want the tech! Really annoying. I should have the option of getting _all_ of the tech with the A-spec trim. I don't mind paying for it, but at least give me the freakin option!!

I have owned three Acura’s , all problem free, however I have reservations about a first year redesign, therefore I’m gonna wait till next year. This is so high tech, it seems so complicated, the owners manual is almost 700 pages! I recently test drove this and really liked it. I know the radio and navigation now can be updated over air. Maybe a future video on that would be helpful for people who are not so tech savvy...

I can try and do a video if there is ever an over the air update. I did update the navigation but then they pulled that update. Will try to show once they fix that and have another nav update.

Is there a difference with the gauges between the A Spec model and the Advanced Package? It looks like the A Spec has red colored types gauges and the Advanced looks more white. Does that seem correct. My dad is possibly going to get one, but he told me he had a hard time focusing on the red colored gauges (speedometer and tachometer). He is color blind and affected him some. Your advanced trim looks more traditional white. Thanks.

The HUD works so well on the advance that you never look down at the instrument cluster anyway.

My advanced gauges are white. My understanding is that the ASPEC does have red gauges lights.

I test drove the RDX before buying a '18 RX350. Timing didn't help getting the RDX as I wanted the A Spec in AWD and white ext/all black interior. Having said that:
The RDX is an excellent vehicle. The AWD is amazing, truly great. The ride is smooth but firm and the engine is strong. The car feels fast. The seats are super comfortable. I test drove the Tech package so didn't get to experience the nicer touches of the Advance but did see an A Spec and both interiors are top quality.
Things I didn't like: the wheel choices except for the A Spec which are merely appropriate. I also don't like the chrome. I'm not a big fan of chrome in general but Acura loaded this vehicle with tons of it. Maybe a subdue tone of chrome, satin would have been better. Some of the interior materials that are not covered in leather feel a little short of top luxury you'll find typically in this segment.
Still, I would have paid the 46k for the A Spec. Totally worth it if you compare it to a similarly appointed Q5 or X3.

I am not a fan of the chrome and there is a lot on the RDX, but I actually don't think it is too bad with the Blue that I got. But, I like the ASPEC styling better, but didnt' want to lose out on the Advance features. I wish you could get the Advance features with the ASPEC look.

Have you found a way to set the instrument panel to the screen you want when you start the car. Instead of always defaulting to trip computer? Also do you know how to put a name on favorite locations?

    • MrFligster
MrFligster In reply to Catman 70

I hadn't noticed the instrument pane, since I like the trip computer. I tried switching to navigation and the next time it showed the oil life, which doesn't make sense. I had only added Home to navigation and now while adding others see what you are talking about where there doesn't seem to be any way to create or edit a name which is ridiculous since you could do this on the 2017 version. Maybe they will release a system update.
