I will be on VIA next week Windsor to Toronto. Economy Class out, Business Class return. To me this is the touchstone for what rail service should be if we get service on the Cleveland-Pittsburgh corridor.

Union Station isn't under the CN Tower. The tower is several blocks away.

In fact, here's my own photo from the first time I went to Toronto, showing Tower and train https://www.seat61.com/images/Canada-CNTower.jpg

@Sean Webb The Tower is 500m or so as the crow flies, 600m walk. Half of Toronto is under it! See photo showing shadow of tower on Union station with Royal York Hotel visible across the road https://css1.www.cntower.ca/site_Files/Content/360_slideshow/view_cn_shadow.jpg

@The Man in Seat 61 A quick check verifies that the CN Tower is about a kilometre away from Union Station. Hardly underneath.

@The Man in Seat 61 I can also take a picture where it looks like I am holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Union Station isn't under The CN Tower. It's several blocks away. Far more than two minutes. I'm at Union Station every day.

Yes it is! I have a photo of the "Canadian" in the platform at Toronto Union, with the CN Tower towering over it. It's only 2 . minutes walk away.

On thing common in Canada and USA is both have same slow trains I wish to see high speed train network in Canada like Japan

High speed rail might be a good idea for long east/west runs, but not at all suitable for the Toronto to Montreal route. The appeal isn't just the speed, but the experience and what you see during the trip. You can fly very easily from Toronto to Montreal. Bullet trains don't solve a problem in this situation.

I took this Train a few times decades ago but never arrived at the Station early enough to benefit from snacks and soft drinks, and travelling 1st Class certainly does have its privileges!
