+Kris Kasprzak absolutely! It's got a 6 MT. I just need some motivation to pull the trigger. Do you think 140k miles is too much ?

      PS get and SH-AWD version.

I tell you the SH-AWD handles extremely well, i have continental dws tires and it rides like it's on rails--i can hit the gas hard in the rain and no wheel spin. The audio (mine has a sub) and it totally rocks. I let my Daughter drive it and she won't give it back. I took a new TLX and even a Q50 out for a test drive and I sure miss my 2010 TL.

Thank you for making such a detailed video. I do have a question, do I HAVE to use a torque wrench? Cant I just use that 17mm , 6 point socket wrench to tighten the drain plug black?

99.99% of people will just tighten by feel, I'm guessing you will be fine.

My 2010 TL Sh awd/6 manual consumed oil at 96 k. I did a research my research and had the PCV valve replaced at the dealer. There's a recall on all J37 TL so Acura increased the engine warranty to 200,000 k. Oil consumption test was also free. But you need to bring your car 3x for testing.

Lot's of posts on this in the Acura forums, some claim it's faulty rings, other speculations. I'm not losing much but i'll just keep an eye on it.

I would check with the owners manual, but this does not sound like an approved type.

thank you that was very well done and yes it applied to my 2 wheel drive 3.5 L 2011 Acura TL one small note you're not completely finished with the oil change until you reset the annoying service engine now light so it would be nice if you'd include a little tutorial for that I can't seem to remember how to do it from oil change to oil change thanks anyway great posting

I have a separate video in resetting the reminder. My statistics show people only watch 3-4 minutes and if that were at then end, they may never see how to reset the reminder

See my other videos for resetting the engine light. As i say int the video, be safe and check your owners manual for the capacity.

Yes. I changed the oil with it on ramps. Just reach up and screw it off.

I just posted a video on how to do this. The video shows the process for a key less ignition, but i mention how to do it for a key-type ignition. There are instructions in the owners manual--mine were on page 503.

This is a great DIY. You should do more if you do any other services... would love to see the transmission, transfer case, differential fluid changes, rotors and brake pad changes. Basic DIY stuff.... This is a great video!
