Nice car, but enthusiast need to choose the IS350 if they want a true sports sedan.

"Athletic poise, impressive build quality and plenty of luxury features put the 2008 Lexus IS 250 high on our list of entry-level luxury sport sedans."

Just a correction, i see a lot of people think Toyota's version of this car is the mark X. The IS came from the Altezza where as the mark X is a different production line entirely with earlier versions being the Mark 2. While the cars may share parts they are not in the same family tree

I don't know what the deal is, but I just bought one, same year with sunroof and I am 6'2"....AND...I have only a 32" inseam (meaning I'm more torso than leg) and I have plenty of headroom! Also, had a co-worker who is 6'7" get in and his head did NOT run out of room with the seat back all the way up. Perhaps the trim package I got? Dunno, but headroom is not an issue. I don't have the memory settings for seats, but do have power seats and the heat/cool option and leather...is that it? Also, while limited in HP, it is INFINITELY "tossable" into corners and has razor sharp handling in general and great stick with good rubber (my used one came equipped with GY Eagle Sports and zero complaints there in rain, snow, dry). Ignore this used gem at your own peril. Also, NOT a luxury tourer...suspension and handling too tight for that. I mean it's fine on the highway (drive 12 hours a week in just commute), but more fun in the twistys.

Finally, the 350, while more HP, has none of the "little BMW M3" feel in its handling. THAT car is more of a Grand Tourer with softer handling, etc.

It reminds me a little (in a good way) of a Mazda Miata (wait for it!) in that is has enough HP given the excellent handling to be fun and well balanced to drive (esp. if you put it in shift-o-matic-mode with the paddles when you're trying to have fun). Would I take more HP in it...duh, of course! However, it has nothing to apologize for given what they go for used.

Amazon sell a simply installed kit which allows Bluetooth audio for around $28 on 2005 - 2010 models.
      See:
Besign Bluetooth 4.1 Car Kit Hands-Free Talking & Music Streaming, Wireless Audio Receiver (BK01 Black with Car Charger and Noise Isolator)

I just bought this exact car. It doesn't have bluetooth for audio, just for phone calls. There is an aux cord plug-in the the middle console though. They didn't start the bluetooth audio compatibility until 2010, I guess.

Toyota isn’t stupid. They’re aware that you can generate about the same power numbers from a 4 banger turbo. There are 2 very simple answers as to why they didn’t do that though. One being longevity; 4 bangers don’t last as long as 6 cylinders, much like V8’s “go on forever”. Toyota’s Lexus brand was build on quality and longevity. The second reason is 4 bangers vibrate. They idle harder and sometimes can be louder. Toyota want their Lexus brand to be smooth, yet still be able to move. So 6 pistons, but a tiny cylinder is VERY effective.

5'7" and head hits the roof. I am 5'11" and never touch the roof, I have the same model 2008 with 70,000kms (40,000miles). I think this guy must look like a sausage dog, long body, short legs.

"Might as well go with the 4-cylinder"

Nope, the sound of the V6 is 100x better than a basic I4.

Since it's just a 2.5l V6, it was clearly for the luxury of having a V6.

Yes the IS350 is much better but economy and price is better with the IS250 obviously.

The loaded IS250's from this gen are holding their value so well.

It's because it's reliable, nice, and not as outdated as other 06-08 cars.

I'm just a proud owner! Everytime I tell someone my car is an 07 their mind is blown. Speakers sound great, navigation, voice commands (they are useless but ya gotta start somewhere!), so much more.

This is why I love Sofyan. I've been eyeing this 08 Lexus IS250 and in the beginning you talk about you being 5'7, talk about how snug the car is and saying if you're over 6 ft, this will not be the car for you. That alone gets a like from me. Won't get it now.
